Tonight UPN airs a brand new installment of “Roswell,” but what lies beyond? Some clues on the second half of season three:
* Liz’s parents will make good on their promise to ship young Ms. Parker off to Winnaman Academy -- a Vermont boarding school.
(Hmm, wonder what prompts this since Mr. P sort of buried the hatchet...maybe M&L were caught in the act???)
* Liz is paired with a pothead roommate named Eileen Burrows. Eileen will give Liz her first taste of marijuana.
(Finally, all of those Roswell drug accusations are true!! )
* Liz tells Eileen to call her “Beth,” and claims to be from Anaheim, Calif. She also claims to have not left a boyfriend behind. At first.
(Why the alias? Is Liz being tucked away for some other reason? Hmmm)
* While chatting in the Winnaman dean’s office, Liz begins to exhibit telekinetic superpowers!
* Maria will hit the road. She’ll visit “first-kiss” Billy Darden in Manhattan, and follow up with a visit to Liz in Vermont.
(Ugh...not more Billy Bob )
* Meta-Chem, Michael’s new employer, will mortally wound one of Michael’s security-guard buddies – in an effort to force Michael to use his “healing powers.” Trouble is, Meta-Chem doesn’t realize that Michael has no healing powers; only Max does. Michael’s pal Monk does not survive the episode.
(WTF?)
* Max will heal a mortally-wounded Jim Valenti (which I guess means Roswell’s former sheriff will probably be getting superpowers too).
(Those parenthesis aren't mine, but nice snark, Herc )
* The Meta-Chem folks catch Max healing Valenti. We learn Meta-Chem learned about the “healer” via reports of Liz taking a bullet in the diner (Meta-Chem has her ketchup-stained Crashdown uniform, among other things) and the remarkable recovery of a ward full of cancer kids a little over a year ago.
* Meta-Chem, it turns out, has been searching for “the healer” on behalf of a 92-year-old billionaire.

I agree with you, Marice. Things look weird. But I didn't like it when I found out that Alex was going to die last year and it turned out to be one of the best eps. Besides, Hercules has been known to be wrong

Hey MM I also read the spoilers.. I didn't like them that much.. except the part that Liz is FINALLY getting her powers.. It would be stupid for them to make all the Max heals have superpowers.. Hopefully only his "bride" would have them.. (in other words.. when he healed Liz because of his feelings for her.. he made her his bride..far fetched but that is what I am hoping...)
The part with Liz and that pothead... I didn't like it at all because of the Liz tried pot.. not really a Liz thing to do... maybe drink.. but pot come on..
I read part of the script about Max and the Richman.. and I think that is Max's doner... because JB is supposed to be playing the Richman too that is just what I have read.. but who knows.. Still ticked about Liz and Pot thing.. trying to get over it..
Also read that Max dreams about him and Liz making love.. so well.. we will have to see.. its supposed to happen in Eppy 14.

Liz smoking pot... No way?!?!?! But I could tell you what will probably happen. Max dreams about him and liz, and he acts on it, then her parents catch her, send her to boarding school and that is how she ends up there. Her and max probably got in a fight because she was leaving and we deal with greif by yelling at people.
I Married An Alien
A journalist friend of Jesse's comes to Roswell and begins snooping around for a story. After accidentally witnessing Michael use his powers and hearing some suspicious stories from Jesse about Isabel, he latches onto a theory that threatens to expose the alien identities of Michael, Max, and Isabel. Meanwhile, Isabel fantasizes about what her life would be like if Jesse knew her alien secret through the device of a 1960s sitcom a la "Bewitched" and also comes to realize why she can never tell her husband the truth after all.
2/05/02 Ch-Ch-Changes
Liz starts to undergo some strange, alien-like changes to her body (glowing hands, melting objects she touches), which get worse when she's near Max. Pent-up frustrations and emotions fly to the surface, and distraught, she decides she needs to get away from Max for good and leave Roswell to go to boarding school in Vermont. Maria gets offered a recording contract in New York, but she isn't sure she likes what the record label people are doing to her music to make it "popular."

2/12/02 Panacea
We learn that the head of Metachem, where Michael works, is a mysterious old man who has been searching for the alien healer and has been secretly investigating Michael. While investigating the company with Michael and Max, Valenti gets shot by the Metachem men. In order to save Valenti, Max is forced to use his powers on the old man and loses his powers and possibly his life. Meanwhile, Liz has entered boarding school in Vermont and tries to start a new life. Maria is in New York to record her demo but finds that her dream isn't all that she imagined it to be and goes to visit Liz in Vermont.

man... after everything that i've read, the show is really, REALLY, changing a lot. i mean it "can" be a good thing i guess, but all of the characters seem to totally be drifting apart from one another... like there's action, but not really. ugh! the storylines are getting me just a bit confused...
forgive me fellow boardies, but i'm going through a ROSWELL dryspell right now... i need my show back!!! i think that we all do. anyone agree with me? i'm just itching to see where these spoilers are taking us.

Roswell Spoilers Leaked
Ronald D. Moore, co-executive producer of UPN's teen-alien series Roswell, offered SCI FI Wire several major spoilers for the rest of the current season and hinted at the demise of a key character. Up first: "I Married an Alien," which makes use of the 1960s TV series Bewitched to look at Isabel and Jesse's marriage, Moore said in an interview. It airs at the end of January.
"And after that, episode 12 kicks off a strong Liz story, where Liz starts developing alien powers and goes off to Vermont boarding school," Moore said. "And Max is killed in an episode. And obviously we bring him back, but he's ... like killed at the end of 13, and 14 is a follow-up."
Roswell star Shiri Appleby (Liz) revealed more spoilers for coming episodes in an interview with SCI FI Wire. "Liz ... asks to go away, because her life is getting a little out of control in Roswell, so she needs a breather from all the alien chaos. ... What happens is that every time Max and Liz get close, ... her facial features disappear, her hands start glowing, all of these weird things in her body start reacting. So that's what triggers her wanting to leave Roswell and get away from Max. Because her life is being disturbed in a way that she's not used to."
Moore added, "There's a lot of action and a lot of things happening in February. And beyond that, we're just starting to get those episodes underway and sketched out. But essentially we're building towards a fairly significant climax toward the end of the season. I don't think it will be a cliffhanger. I think it will be sort of a big, grand, sweeping tale." Roswell airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
All I'll say about the finale is argh...no cliffhanger please!

Marice, I'm not sure no cliffhanger is a good thing. I think they're wrapping things up nice and tidy because they don't expect S4 to happen. But, ya gotta give them credit for tying up the loose ends (as if that ever happens on this show ) instead of never having a conclusion, if that is the case with S4. And if it isn't, then so what? I remember TV when no one had a cliffhanger - now everyone does.

Yeah, it does look like they don't expect to get a fourth season. And I'm okay with that. If they are going to wrap things up, then I hope they do it in a way that is satisfying to the fans.
I don't care for the fact that only now Liz will be developing her powers. They could've had her realize her powers gradually over the past few seasons. With her freaking out over her powers and wanting to get away from Max and Roswell, well I just see that as a plot device to keep our favorite couple apart...yet again! I'm tired of the writers going around in circles and not looking at the whole picture! Okay, enough of my ranting.
And I remember when there were no cliffhangers on television too! I think X-Files was the master of the cliffhanger...for a while there anyway!
When UPN picked up the show and they said they were keeping the same writing staff, at first I couldn't believe it, then I thought, "Well, this is the last season, then." Too bad, it's such a waste. Could have been a wonderful show (all three years) with a talented writing staff (I'm shaking my head at the shame of it)
I just hope Liz doesn't stay away too long. You're right - yanking her out of the picture at this late date and developing her powers overnight instead of gradually since MiTC are just bad ideas. I've said it time and again - I could have written this show better
haha... i think that we ALL could have written better shows... or at least have given better input. these writers should seriously take that into consideration. i mean, who knows these characters better than the obsessive fans?! i don't know, but i'm looking forward to that 60's sitcom eppy, i just love that weird 60's retro stuff... can't help it! anyway, hope all is well with you boardies...

that kinda scares me a bit... like i feel the show slipping away, mostly because it's been off air for so long already. but i still have faith! so wait, there's no word about anything after it goes on hiatus in march? i mean no hints toward either futher filming or canceling? hmm... anyone?

That 02/26 one confuses me. Why does this guy want Max dead and how would killing Liz harm Max?

If they end the whole show with a cliffhanger, I will get so mad. Did any of you watch Popular? It ended so awefully, but it was a great show. If they do that to roswell, I'll puke! Can't they just have the character's be happy for a while and just add some weird bad guy they have to fight???
