2005 NATIONALS
Hi all,
If you intend to compete at the 2005 Nationals at Mallala Motorsport Park on the 1th, 12th & 13th of November please contact either your club secretary or visit this link.
We would like to get accurate numbers on entrats as it helps with costing and ordering for everything from food to shirts. It also gives us barganing power for shed cost etc.

Re: 2005 NATIONALS
Hi,
Can anyone tell me how far it is from Adelaide to Mallala.
I am trying to work out the drive time etc from Melbourne.
I pre-registered but have not received any papers as yet and am concious that time is passing by with only eight weeks left - has anyone received theirs (in case mine have disappeared in post) ??
cheers

Mallala is about 45 minutes to an hour north of the CBD.
I understand that nothing has been sent out yet but things should start happening soon. We have a club meeting in two weeks, I will post up some answers if there after the meeting.
All of the grids have been filled too!

Re: Nationals
How about an early practice session on Thursday, for those who are able and serious enough to turn up early?
Especially if theres going to be plenty of people on the track on Fri Sat and Sun??????
Just a thought.
If anyone in Perth is looking for assistance in transport to Mallala, I may (in big letters MAY) be able to assist, at a very reasonable rate. Only one direction however, to the track and a week before the event. Shorty's place is close enough to drive your race car, so get friendly with him

Also helps if officials know about the event...
Was speaking to another official about the event at a meeting we had recently for the hillclimbs and no-one knew buckleys. Infact, all that there is on the Officials calendar for that weekend is "Twilight Practice Session". So it might be worth having a word (with a baseball bat) to the guys at 'lala. I think im supposed to be throwing rulebooks at dori-'nuts this weekend too ...

Righto,
Time to concentrate on the details of the event, I called the track during the week and was told that Thursday is a definate no go for practice.
Is there anyone over that way who could ask for us travellers if it would be possable to unload our gear on Thursday evening? This could be a great help for those of us who will be retrieveing team mates from the Adelaide Airport PM Thurs.
Alternatively, how many people will we collectively have arriving on Thursday evening needing a lift/taxi/bus to Gawler or close by? We will have five, anyone wanna share a Venga bus???
Entry form in the mail today, cant wait for more details of the event.

Ill be out there this weekend, so i can have a chat. There may be a garage or somewhere closer into the city who might be willing to let you unload. Not entirely sure, ill have a chat though.
