2tg engine
Has anyone had any success with the 2tg toyota motor Twin cam 1600 for racing?

Check out toymods www.toymods.net/forums for info on that motor. There seems to be people that have used it in the past, but thats the extent of my knowledge on the subject.

It was a pretty good motor, back in the seventies
8 valve just isn't going to cut it these days, the level of mods required will mean it is running close to the edge to get the same hp a Hot street 4AGE will get (and cost a lot more as a result)
Luckily a 4AGE will fit pretty much every where a 2TG does, or for that matter a 3SGE will fit in some cars.
Unless you need this motor for historic purposes you would be better with a modern
