69 340 manual to auto
I have a 69 340 engine that was rebuilt using an externally balanced cast crank. Currently it is set up for a manual trans and I want to switch to auto and put in a 73 Roadrunner that currently has a 318 auto. What needs to be done?

Re: 69 340 manual to auto
You need a convertor w/ the balancing weights for the cast crank, a convertor w/ weight welded on, or the B&M weighted flexplate that lets you run any convertor for a internal balance engine. The B&M gives you better flexiblilty for the future and last I knew they weren't real spendy.
