73 Road Runner Radiator Gasket Orientation
I am restoring my 73 Road Runner. I need to install a new radiator gasket. This is the large piece of rubber (2” X 4’) that attaches to the under side of the hood near the front.

The gasket is C shaped. Which way is the open side of the gasket’s C supposed to face, front or rear? I think it is the Front.

The gasket attaches to metal tabs on the under side of the hood. Is the rubber supposed to be on the front or the back side of these metal tabs? By front or back I am referring to the order of things, such as front of car, metal tab, rubber gasket then back of car.

Can someone help me?
