Also a little poem that I did not write, but it is one of my favorites, I like to add it to cards or letters as a signature sort-of thing. Enjoy! In HIM, Faith <>< ---------------------------------------------------------- Forest Reflections A breath of evening whispers Through the twilight and the trees, Kissing my face as I wander, Through a forest by the sea. As I walk through the ferns and the foliage, Hand in hand with my thoughts and my dreams, The crickets sing me a lullaby, And firefly lanterns gleam. I find a fallen tree and sit Upon its soft and mossy side, The tree frogs call above me, And a rabbit dashes away to hide. Gazing around at the beauty of the forest at close of the day, Thanking my God for revealing His power in so many ways. I am content to sit, unmoved As all around prepare for sleep. The flowers nod their silky heads, And the birds settle down with a drowsy ‘cheep’. Dusk is falling thickly now, Like a cloak of feathered down. It wraps the woods in slumber And turns the greens to a hazy brown. I rise with a song of praise in my heart, To my Creator, Savior and King, And leave the forest, now silent and still, To await what the morrow will bring. Outwitted He drew a circle that shut me out. Heretic, rebel, a thing to flout! But Love and I had the wit to win, We drew a circle that took him in! By: Edwin Markham
