A free room at the inn
A free room at the inn for Mary and Joseph

Quote:
A British hotel has come up with a novel marketing campaign for Christmas, offering couples named Mary and Joseph a free night's stay.

The manager of the Travelodge in London's Covent Garden, Sandy Leckie, says his hotel is more comfortable than a stable.

"We are trying to make up for the hotel industry not having any rooms left on Christmas Eve 2004 years ago," Mr Leckie said.

"I just hope they don't bring their donkey," he added.

Prospective couples will have to prove their real names are Mary and Joseph before taking up the offer.

Re: A free room at the inn
:lol Misses the point rather though, doesn't it?

'...and lo the shepherds went straight away to the inn, and found the night porter, who told them to sod off and come back in the morning...'

And do the Travelodge Covent Garden really want their non-paying guests hanging around for weeks waiting for an influx of overseas mystics? ;)

Not all change is progress.

Ah, Bastmosis you could be falling for the traditional Christmas Card reduction of the gospels. Have a read of Matthew carefully and you will see no mention of the inn when the Magi come to worship.

Then again you could just be making a joke. :p
