A passing moment of reflection
This is, and is not a wrestling post. Over the years of wrestling posting, a re-occuring thought comes to me at times. Of all the numerous posters I've conversed with and admired, there seems to be a common thread among them. Very opinionated and outspoken people, male and female alike, articulate, and highly intelligent people meet, and discuss the merits (or lack of) and the pros and cons of RASSLIN!! I often have to stop and chuckle at myself for going on in a passionate way about something as trivial as wrestling. Of course, on the other hand, there are many other less worthy subjects to debate endlessly, but still....
Any thoughts on this??...or am I alone at having a small laugh at myself today? As I said, it's just a thought I've pondered now and then.

Re: A passing moment of reflection
Well FPU...it's not like ALL wrestling fans are true geniuses; in fact, some of them are the exact opposite! However, the wide wide world of wrestling encompasses a LOT of different subjects, & some of them I find VERY interesting.
I sincerely doubt that there is *anything* in this entire world, that is NOT discussed *somewhere* by people with a great deal of enthusiasm. We all love to be entertained, and for most of us wrestling fans, dissecting the sport and examining it's *guts*, or what makes it work, increases our enjoyment of it all the more.
Even when we DON'T like what we see happening, sharing our thoughts can both release pressure, and get our creative juices flowing.
Yeah, it's mostly meaningless silly $HIT, but the rocky road of pro wrestling can lead to many different avenues of human expression.
