I have a very similar problem. I connect using AOL 9.0 too and every time I open IE or Outlook Express, I get a dialog box popping up, saying that "NO connection to the internet is currently available" and asking whether I want to work offline or try again?
I have a sneaky feeling that this could be something to do with the fact that since I installed AOL 9.0, there are no dial-up connections shown in my Internet Options > Connections > DUN box. But AOL's chat agents insist that this has nothing to do with the problem and have even tried to tell me that there has never been any "AOL - dial on demand" connection shown in that box - when I know for a fact that it was always there before I upgraded to AOL 9.0!!!! So, basically, they don't know their backsides from their elbows!
Can anyone tell me if not having any connections showing up in my DUN box could possibly cause this problem with IE and OE not recognising the fact that I'm already online? If not, what else might be causing this problem? Any help would be much appreciated, as although I only have to click "Try again" in order for it to work, it is getting pretty tiresome now! Cheers.
