This is the 5th year for Cypher North and every event we like to recognize individual and crews of bboys and bgirls for their contributions in the Canadian Scene. I have made these decisions in the past by speaking to others and then just making the call by myself as to who will be recognized.
I'm looking for input into this years awards - who do you think should be recognized and why. Its not just about who is the best dancer. I would love to give some western bboys recognition but I know little about the scene out there.
And please don't rant and rave questioning past awards - if you want to step up and recognize others for what they have done - go do your thing !!
A special award is the Absolut Canadian lifetime achievment award with only Gizmo having recieved this so far. This year I am awarding DKC freeze from Montreals FlowRock and from the early 80's crew "New Energy" My man turned 40 this year and is still collecting bboy scalps !!!
