Afterlife..

I think that I don't know. That is the truth. I have no idea. I can say that I am 99% sure that it isn't the Christian way. I don't believe there is an all-powerful being sitting in the clouds, collecting the souls of those who worship him.

If anything, we might be re-incarnated but... there are a lot more people around now then there were before... and so where do they come from?

Do you beleive in reincarnation, keep doing it until you get it right? Is there nothing after death? Do you even have a "soul"? Or were these concepts created just to keep the people in line. ie: If you dont follow the rules you will be punished. If you do, you will get great rewards. Supposedly thats where all souls come from and when the well is empty that will be the day of retribution, armmageddon if you will. Something to think about. Mortals Live, and Mortals Fall. They can believe whatever they want to as long as they don’t force it on me. However, to answer your questions I must agree with Reznor in parts. “Do you believe in an afterlife?” I do believe in the afterlife. I will not name names but I do have the knowledge of knowing individuals who see the so called “ghosts” (as people have labeled them). “Is there a heaven and a hell, or purgatory?” I do not know if there is a heaven or hell. But if there is a purgatory then aren’t we already in it?! “Do you believe in reincarnation, keep doing it until you get it right?” Actually yes I do or so I think at this current moment. I believe that there are a few individuals out there who remember their past lives. (Sounds almost like a cat … 9 lives... heheh) anyway, excuse my dry humor it is one of those days! “Is there nothing after death?” I would like to believe that there is something after death! But we always have to consider what there would be if there wasn’t!. “Do you even have a "soul"?” The meaning of Soul is pretty wide. It could mean anything really. If it is the essence of our being, the energy that we poses while we are living or even the connection of the energy from person to person. I am sure that someone out there has a deep description of what a Soul is but; Why don’t we ask all of you guys here on the board what your individual description of a “Soul” is. “Or were these concepts created just to keep the people in line. ie: If you don’t follow the rules you will be punished. If you do, you will get great rewards.” Maybe we are just little people in lockers like “Men in Black 2”… Or perhaps it is just one big giant game for people who are not inside this current world. It is a good question though, and yet many of these questions can sometimes only be touched by assumptions and opinions. Well in studies done on near death experiences it was found if the person beleived in god they usually saw the white light, tunnel, and their loved ones waiting on the other side for them. On the other had those that didnt believe in a god saw nothing, absoultly nothing. Interesting dont you think? So is it all in our minds?
