I hope no one minds but I feel the need to spread the Ari love
Quick info for those of you who've never heard of him: mid-twenties guy with a guitar and a raspy-ish voice with a surprisingly good falsetto... so check him out (www.arihest.com), I know you will love him!

I love Ari. Michelle introduced me to him. I don't know the name of the album I have, but my favorite songs by far are Aberdeen, Holding On and Fond Farewell.

Just discovered that he has a show at Joe's Pub in NYC in early August! Got my tickets. After listening to him for long, it'll be nice to see a live show

I myspace messaged him so long ago that I didn't even remember what I wrote. I apparently wrote to him back in March when I first started to listen to him heavily, just saying that I liked his music. I just got a message back from him today oddly enough. Haha, he apologized twice for taking so long to write back.
There's another show by me. This one is in NJ (and only a couple days after the NY one), so I hope to go to that one as well.
Now if only my money tree would start growing again...

Yeah, he's an awesome guy.
He'll stay around after the show just to talk to the audience and shoot the shit.
I was too much of a chicken to go up to him the last time I saw him.
I just always feel weird about that, with people I think are 'famous'.

Wow, I can't believe I was waiting for this show for the past two months. Ari did not disappoint. He was absolutely delightful to listen to. His voice is just incredible! There's a purity to it and a simultaneous softness/power with every note.
I was sitting right up front, against the stage (Joe's Pub is TINY...but a GREAT venue). I used my new 1gb memory stick for my camera (yeehaw!) and was able to take 5 full songs (with room for 5 more!), so once I get those uploaded to YouTube, I'll post links for them. Haha, I hope I wasn't too distracting for Ari with my camera, aimed directly at him periodically throughout the night.

I'm going to the show on Saturday too. I've never been to this venue before, so I hope it's at least as nice as Joe's Pub and that wherever I sit, I have a good view!
ETA: If anyone's interested in hearing/seeing some of the show, here are some youtube links for the videos I took. Sorry for the bad lighting in some! Joe's Pub is pretty dim inside, but I think the sound came out pretty well.

I'm officially hooked on Ari. I went to a more local show in NJ last night and it was really great. Ari seemed to really like the venue and was just very relaxed. I got to say hi and got a picture (I'll post that later). Too bad I was too shy for a hug.
Here are more songs if anyone's interested. The video quality isn't great b/c my camera doesn't have a very good zoom but the sound is still pretty good.
I also recorded "When Everything Thing Seems Wrong" and "Mercy Street" but those were too large to load to youtube. If anyone wants them, I'll sendspace.
