Description: Beth's hair is chin length and gently feathered to frame her face, and is usually coloured different colours ... sometimes purple, sometimes blue, but currently blonde and red streaked. Beth is of medium build, and tall, about 5ft 8. Her eyes are green and her skin is lightly tanned. Beth likes to wear comfortable Muggle clothing, usually just jeans and an unusual top. Beth is comfortable with her body, but wishes she were a little thinner, as she is perhaps a little overweight.
Personality: Beth is outgoing and bubbly, and loves to talk! Her flaws include being just a little too noisy at times, and being an annoying cow. She loves playing pranks on people, and can usually take them if they are reciprocated, and laughs them off with a good grace.... most of the time. She also hates anybody who's prejudiced against Muggle born wizards and witches, and will do all she can to argue the case against anybody who throws thoughtless comments around such as 'Mudblood', especially if aimed at one of her friends. She is loyal to her friends, but does tend to hold grudges against people. She is also a very flirty young lady ... and will pretty much flirt with any male specimen who is good looking. she is not very academic, and will do quite a lot to get out of doing work. Beth hates responsibility and hard work, and would rather play around than work hard, which proved difficult last year when the workload suddenly increased.
Likes: Having fun, playing pranks on the Gryffindors, flirting vociferously, Muggle music
Dislikes: Prejudice, vegetables and healthy food, people who take a joke too seriously
Family History: Beth is half Muggle, and grew up not knowing about her wizard father, or any wizarding ancestry. She grew up with just her mum, Martina, in a single parent family with her younger sister Harriet who she finds pretty annoying most of the time, but who she loves dearly underneath the 'front' of dislike. She lives in a modest house in Manchester. She was very surprised when she learned of her powers at the age of eleven, but her mum had known about her father's wizarding heritage, and so had allowed Beth to go to Hogwarts. However, Harriet had been trying ever since Beth started at the school to demonstrate magic of her own, and had finally received her Hogwarts letter this year.
Social History: Beth is a Slytherin, but being mostly brought up as a Muggle, does dislike any slurs against Muggle-borns by others in her house. She has a negative history with Lucius Malfoy, as he did not take many of her pranks well in previous years. Beth is friends with people from other houses as well as her own, and herself and the Marauders have a teasing relationship. They are not really close, but Beth and the group love to play pranks on each other, in the interests of house rivalry ... plus Beth knows they can take a joke well, and also reciprocate. Beth has always fancied Sirius just a little bit, and has had her history of kisses with him. There is a little sexual tension between the two, but Sirius usually sees her as more of a friend than a potential girlfriend. Beth would have no desire for Sirius as anything more than just a fling ... experiences in sixth year led her to swearing off commitment after a couple of boyfriends made her very unhappy throughout their relationships.
