Bible Study on John Week 4

Dear Ladies,

"Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it" John 2:5.

What a powerful statement Jesus' mother made unto the servants!

The test of REAL OBEDIENCE is doing the things asked of us by God, or our parents, even if we DO NOT UNDERSTAND why we have to do it! The servants at the marriage feast passed this test and were blessed, but do we in our day to day life pass this test of REAL OBEDIENCE?

I saw in my own life that I do not always pass the test of 'real obedience' to God and I wondered why! God gave me the answer through an article my Mum just 'so happened' to give me - a coincidence? - I think not! God is wonderful!!

For us to have real obedience we need FAITH and TRUST to know that God works all things together for good to those that love Him and keep his commandments - true obedience!

God taught me this week that by BECOMING BETTER ACQUAINTED with Him, through STUDYING HIS WORD we WILL learn to trust Him with our whole being, which will lead us to real obedience.

The article Mum gave me was about Psalm 139 and I thought this Psalm tied in so well with this weeks reading! Emilee, I noticed too that you mentioned this Psalm in the latest GGC!

Praise God that He uncovers the mysteries of His Way to those that seek Him. I pray we all may draw closer to Him so that we can grow in faith, trust and obedience.

Jesus' mother said to the servants,"________________." (v. 5) 2. When Jesus told the servants to fill the waterpots they filled them "________________." (v. 7) Remember "Obedience is the key to Joy!" For Christ to fill us fully we must surrender ourself fully to Him. Faith must be exercised to reach it's full potential and by surrendering ourselves to the Lord He can help us develop our faith! FAITH = Forsaking All, I Trust Him!
