Dear Ladies,

As I was reading this weeks Bible reading I was wondering how great it must have been for the disciples to get to know Jesus!

I would like to share with you a way that God told me how I (and we all) can get to know Jesus today!

I was also reading in 1 John 4:7-21; 5:1-3 and I will jot down some of my notes for your perusal!

- Love is of God and if we have Godly love we KNOW God (v 7-8)
- If we love one another, GOD DWELLS IN US (v12). If God dwells in us, He becomes a part of us and as a result we would know Him.
- We know GOD DWELLS IN US when we confess Jesus is the son of God (v13-15.
- I found it interesting to note that we love God because God first loved us - God is sovereign!

But then I wondered what is this 'love' that we need to have so that we can 'know ' God - and therefore also Jesus? The answer came in 1 John 5:2 - For THIS IS THE LOVE OF GOD that we KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS; and HIS COMMANDMENTS ARE NOT GREIVOUS.

I deisred to share this with you all and I pray it may be a blessing to you as we all desire to get to know Jesus so that He may have a dwelling place in us!
