Hi Ladies! As I have been studing John 1:1-5, the thought came to me and I would like to share it with you all. How important our words are! Jesus who is THE WORD, gave us words.(language) Now this is a little different take, but important I feel. How do we speak? How do we write (using words)? What words are contained in the books we read? How do we post? Have you ever realized that all our words are to truly reflect THE WORD, (Jesus) in all we do. I think sometimes we forget so easily. We become so desensitized to this world and all the words around us. We take things in that do not glorify Christ (dark words) and then wonder why we feel sad. I do believe that THE WORD would have us watch closely the words we take in and give out. For we are to reflect HIM (Jesus) ...in all we say and do. He is the giver of life! Do our words reflect HIS light and life or darkness and pain I would like to hear how you feel on this. God Bles you all!! In Jesus, Mrs Lyn Edited by: Mrs Lyn |

Dear Mrs Lyn, Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts! I had never seen those scriptures in that way before. It made me think of a verse - Proverbs 16:24 - Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones'. How true it is that our words can have great effect on those around us and how easy it is for us to become complacent in our use of words, or equally inportant the TONE of our voice. I am currently reading a book on 'The Secret Power of Music'. It is very interesting and it shows how in the time of Beethove music was composed primarily to bring the people who listened to higher aspirations and most importantly to thoughts on the greatness of God. However todays music (if one could call it music at all) is base and depresses and does not bring the people to think of God - and hence our society has become morally sick. Our voice is a musical instrument and it is not only the words we speak, but the tone in which we speak them that is also important. If we speak irritably, in no time the people around us become irritated too. If we speak lovingly, the people around us respond accordingly. When Jesus spoke, he spoke with perfect words and a perfect tone that brought rest, healing and a closness of God to the people. Thank you Mrs. Lyn for sharing and I pray you enjoy my thoughts too! Learning and growing together in Jesus, Fanny. P.S Sorry, I can not change my spelling errors because every time I do I loose the whole message and have to start again - something must be wrong with the computer! Thank you for your consideration, Fanny |

Fanny, Thank you for that EXCELLENT thought on tone. You put it so very well!! The book you're reading sounds very interesting. I do so agree that tone is a reflection of our heart. Oh, we can mend up or destroy with our words. What a humble thought. And the tone is the musical melody behind our words. It is so very humbling. I do pray that my words will be set to music of joy and grace and healing. Thank you again for your inspiring note. Blessings to you Fanny! Mrs Lyn |
