Boney in Galveston
Anyone headed for Boney at the Moody Gardens in Galveston in November? We're from Phila and on the Rick Braun cruise, but made it a point to be there on Sat night for Boney!! Woo Hoo..can't wait.

Hey Boneyfan, I was hoping to be in Galveston for the show, however, I won't be able to make it.........awww, too bad for me.
Anyway, have a blast at the show and on the cruise !!!!

Hey Boneyfan. I just saw Boney Fri night (8/19) in Memphis. The show was great! I too, look forward to seeing him in Galveston. I'm going down early to see Al Jarreau Fri night and will be at the pre-cruise party Sat night. Can't wait to OD on Jazz for 7 days! Hope to see you there

I WON!! I WON!! I WON!! I WON!! I WON!! I WON!!
My name is posted at the main page of Boney's website. I was the lucky winner of the two tickets to the show and the meet&greet with Boney after the show. I also was mailed a copy of "Pure." (Which I allready have) But it doesn't hurt to have 2 copies of any of Boney's material. I will take pics and post to the message board ASAP. At first I didn't think that I would be able to see him because the in beginning I was told the only way I could go to the pre cruise concert was only if I was going on the cruise (Which I did not want go on). I just wanted to see BONEY I can not wait. I am SOOOOO PUMPED just thinking about it. I have allready taken off from work I took off Friday, I am off on the weekend and I also took Monday off, just to recoop. So you guys am calling it a nite and I will share my pics with you all.

We arrive on Saturday...and will be there..

I am meeting him after the show. I received numerous e-mails from his public relations person and she told me that Boney will be arriving at 5PM in Galveston and will of course go on at 9:03PM. She also mentioned that I am on his guest list... I am so nervous just thinking about it I just hope that I don't pass out or freak out too much LOL. I have to remain and calm...LOL. I have been a fan of his since Body Language and I have seen him since then a total of two times whenever he comes to the Verizon Wireless Theatre in Houston. I only missed 1 concert there and still regret it til this day. But I am making up for it on Saturday..I will also have him to sign a copy of my free 'Pure' cd that I receieved. But I am looking forward to meeting him.

I've also been a fan since Body Language, and have seen him in Phila several times, the last being this past June.
In past years he's been back in October, but guess the schedule is pretty full this year.
How awsome to be on his guest list!! I'll be looking for your pictures!!

I have enjoyed seeing Boney perform and to see him on stage in PERSON, I believe is going to be too much for me! I don't know if I will be in the audience or not...I think they will have me in the front row, or maybe on the side of the stage or something...But I will be the one swaying from side to side, snapping my fingers!! I still need to go to WalMart and get film for the camera so I can take pics for you guyys. I will not posting anyhting until Tuesday, and possibly then the PICS will be ready...
HAVE A GRRREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE...I KNOW I WILL LOL!!

Sure Boney is the Best Sax Man in the Biz today...
and maybe, he puts on the Best show of any smooth Jazz artist
ok, seeing Boney after the show, might be pretty Awesomebut... what am I crazy? I would Kill to Be in your shoes this weekend!

Here at the Moody Garden Hotel in Galveston, waiting for to head off to the ship.
Boney's show last night was awsome. I was in row 6, dead center isle seat. Boney jumped off stage, and motioned to ME to come dance with him...what a rush!! My friends were screaming!!! and it's all on video...and do ya think it couldnt get any better??? I'm in the lobby after the show, and who is walking directly towards me is the man himself...got pictures with him

Well Well Well Well Well,
Everyone...Let me start off by saying that this weekend was WONDERFULLLLL!!!!!!!!
(Especially Saturday nite) LOL!!
The day started off with my resting all day..My uncle to accompany me to the concert. Boney's Publists Sylvi C. Brown (www.scbrownpr.com) and I had been in contact all week about the concert and she had given me the number to Boney's Tour Manager, Eric. She told me to contact Eric to find out about the meet and greet after the show. She said that Boney would be arriving in Galveston at 5:00PM and to contact Eric anytime after 5:00PM. So my uncle and I left Port Arthur (about 50 miles from Galveston) at 6:15 and I contacted Eric informed him who I was and he was very pleasant. He asked me how many tickets would I need and I told him 2, he said that he had 3 tickets at "Will Call" for me. I told him that I only won 2 tickets, but he said that Boney threw in a extra ticket.. (If I would have known that I would have taken someone else too..Oh well, back to the story). He told me after the show to move to the front row and he would send someone to come and get us and take us backstage. So we arrived in Galveston and got lost, LOL, but we found our way thanks to the locals. We parked the car at the top of the parking garage and went down the elevator to the ground level. We saw the longest line I have ever seen of people waiting to get into the place. We heard on 95.7 that the Box Office will open at 8:00PM and will have limit tickets for the concert. So we saw a sign that said "WILL CALL" which is where Sylvi told me the tickets would be. So we went through the door and I gave my name to the gentlemen and my uncle and I were given VIP wristbands and a nice lady took us the back way to get tickets and we were given another wrist band to put on. We got into the ballroom and found a seat and Rick Braun came on and welcomed everyone and it was then I realized that...I FORGOT THE CAMERA IN THE CARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I began to shed a tear or two and quickly got over it... Boney hit the stage and all was good again. The performance was great the crowd was PUMPED, especially when he jumped off the stage and got into the crowd and began walking around and playing in the audience. My favorite song that he performed was "Better With Time" and "Ride". The concert was being tapped, but at the time no one knew why. After the concert we moved to the front and there was a meeting with everyone that was going on the cruise to answer questions that cruisers had. So we listed to the guy answer the questions and clarify things for the cruisers. It was then we learned that if the cruisers missed the performance that night it would be tapped and played on the boat the next day. Which was the reason Boney's performance was being tapped. So I received a call on my cellphone from an unknown number I answered and it was Eric. He asked where we were and I told him and he said to go through the same doors we entered the ballroom and go left until we come to the doors. We did and the doors were locked and we waited a minute or so, a security guard came up and told someone to unlock the doors the doors opened... and it was Eric. I introduced myself to him and my uncle and we went through two more doors and far off there was Boney... He had on a leather black hat, a black t-shirt with white writing that said "Earth, Wind, Fire and Water," he had on a black suit coat on top of the t-shirt, black slacks with black and white tennis shoes. He was talking with some guys and Eric went over and got him and told him who I was and he first thanked me for contributing to the American Red Cross refief effort. He gave me a BIG HUGG and he asked how we enjoyed the show, and what we though of the performance, if we were going on the cruise and what we thought of 'Pure.' I answered all his questions and he said that he will be working on a new cd and it should be released in late 2006. He asked if we wanted to take a picture with him and I told him that I FORGOT THE CAMERA IN THE CARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and he smiled and said "OH NOOO." And we laughed and he signed my 'Pure' cd that I was sent and I mentioned to him that all the fans from the message board sends their love and he said that he loves all his fans and appreciates their love and support. He gave me another BIG HUGG and we said our goodbyes and we left... At the show, it was also mentioned that Boney will be on the Smooth Jazz cruise for 2007. So everyone MAKE PLANS TO BE ON THE CRUISE SHIP IN 2007!!!!! I will take a picture of my autographed 'Pure' CD and post it sometime this week..
