Book vs. Movie
Book vs. Movie
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Is there really a comparison?
I personally believe that there isn't. The book is the book, Tolkiens' vision. And the movie is the movie, Jacksons' vision.
I loved them both. Sure I was dissapointed in some of the movie, but I can accept that it wasn't possible to create the movie entirely dependant on the book.
I was upset by Faramir at first, being my favourite character from the book, but I have come to love him in the movie as well, yes he is tempted, but at least he resists. Also helps that David is such a hottie!
Re: Book vs. Movie They are differents things ,I love both but really the books always have a special charm, I couldn't said what I prefer becouse the book help me understand the movie more, and LOVE the characters more than all ready had, the movie help me to put a face in all the characters of the book, I started to read the books becouse of the movies, probably I wouldn't read them if the movies didn't exist, but I'm so happy now that I read them , I love the books.
Re: Book vs. Movie
My guess is that the book will always be better than the movie. I love the Exorcist novel. When I saw the film I was dissapointed about them not including some scenes, but still I love the movie, especially Karras played by Jason Miller.

Re: Book vs. Movie
It happened to me with "Not without my daughter" and with "The Body"... Oh I hated "The Body" movie.... The start on the novel is a bright blond blue-eyed man... and... well... actualy Antonio Banderas is not bright nor blond nor blue-eyed I think... It makes me really mad that... well... maybe also because I don't like Antonio Banderas at all
