Building/Creating one´s own Mesopotamian space
This is veeeeery short break before I get back to... spreadsheets.
Genuine copies of Mesopotamian material are expensive, so it is not always possible to be ... totally scientifically correct about home decorations and personal jewelry.
So below you will find some suggestions and magickal ways to get Mesopotamin-in-Spirit material. You can easily:
a) endow things that you like with the Spirit, i.e. give yourself a little something that reflects the qualities of your own table of correspondence for the chosen goddess, god, etc. Empower them ritually the coming Full Moon, for example.
One of the centerpieces of my altar for Enki/Ea is a crystal cup in dark blue. I put some fresh or mineral water in my rituals. So The Cup is Love, and the Recipient of the Sweet Fresh Waters of the Deep. It represents invariably my personal God in rituals and the Cup stands by Inanna on my shrines.
b) Find correspondences that are easy to get in modern guise. Example: I wear a tiny chain of gold and lapis lazuli around my neck. Inanna has a rainbow lapis necklace too. So I have my modern version of one of Her symbols...  You can be very creative here, on budget and true in Spirit as well. On top, you can be very discreet and create your own regalia... besides being able to wear in everyday!
Wear a second thin chain with a small ring... the symbol of my HighPriestesshood to Enki and another chain with the Isis headdress... These three chains are thin, so no one knows that I am totally High Priestess in regalia and Mesopotamian in Spirit too...
c)Endow ritually your magickal implements and regalia so that they can become a focus for the Spirit too. I do this a lot. 
For example, get a piece of jewelry or a vase or something special... and keep it wrapped up, waiting for the right moment to unwrap it. It won´t take long if you trust The Spirit and keep doing the Work everyday.
Also, you can consciously ask the universe for a confirmation for the workings you do. Once you get the sign, empower the gift or the representation of the gift ritually.
Finally, remember that the most special altar is your body, the physical vehicle for the Spirit to sing your soul back home.
