Hi Ladies, I want to just share and idea with you. I have been working on some embroidery pillowcases, for Emilee's hopechest. I can remember my grandma and mother doing this for me. I must say they were wonderful treasures, in my hopechest as a young lady. So, I thought I would suggest that you might considering doing this for your special young lady. The set I am working on now has dogwoods and praying hands on them. Emilee chose to have pink dogwood and they are turning out nicely. Let us know if you decide to join in on the fun. Mrs Lyn |

I have a set of pillowcases my grandmother embroidered for me. They are one of my treasures and I use them occasionally, even though they don't quite match my bedroom!
As you can't always be sure the colors or designs you choose today will be what you would like in the future ( your taste often change) my sister shared this idea with me. Choose a soft antique white cloth, add matching crocheted lace and work your entire pattern in off white floss. This gives a lovely old fashion look and it works well as a shower gift too. |

Robin, Hi , thanks for that wonderful creative thought. I am sure it would look very vintage and pretty. I had thought about trying white on white. I think that is so soft and pretty also. I really like your idea!! Mrs Lyn |

Hi All! I started a new pair of pillowcases this past weekend. I am doing them all in white handiwork on the traditional white pillowcases. The design is of a center cross and sprays of flowers. They look really neat and I am pleased with the results. They are very delicate looking, yet has a real nice simplicity to them. What is so nice is this will match any decor.Try it I think you will be pleased! Blesings!! Mrs Lyn
