Can I use mechanical broadheads for wild hogs?
I'm going hog hunting the end of this month and have always used mechanical broadheads while deer hunting. Can anyone recommend, or not recommend, these types of broadheads for hogs?
Re: Broadheads
I've always been against using mechanical heads on large boar. There's one running around ClarkRange Hunting Lodge w/ a perfectly placed Rocket in it. It ended up killing a dog as a result. I've never been a fan of mech's, but the ones recommended above are exceelent mech's. I'm considering the New Game Tracker FirstCut EXP 100 Magnum. It's a well vented two blade with a set of mech blades that follow. I'll test them on turkey. Mech's work great on turkey and most white tail.

broadheads
i would prefer muzzy 4 blades or another good brand would be steel force broadheads you can get them in titanium and in high grade steel. they are also have 4 blades the blades on the backs a serrated for maximum penitration.
Muzzy!
I have some Game Tracker Magnum 100 EXP mech's I'm going to use on turkey. Turkey is as far as they go, though. Whitetail size targets have seen some success w/ mech's but large boar need fxed blade penetration. I use Muzzy on tough hogs.

mechanical broadheads
most of the hog ranches around here will not let you use mechanicals.i also am a muzzy guy.i ise the 125gr 3 blade.i have to use a crossbow due to being disabled.muzzy did the trick on every hog so far.one prob we encountered with muzzy.the broadhead part that screws into the arrow shaft bent every time.muzzy will replace them free of charge if you send them the old broadheads.i sent them with the blood and hair all over them
