Re: Chant Down Babylon
Think it will be used in the ep?
Bob Marley - Chant Down Babylon
Come we go burn down Babylon one more time
Come we go chant down Babylon one more time
For them soft, yes them soft
Them soft, yes them soft
So come we go chant down Babylon one more time
Men see their dreams and aspirations
Crumble in front of their face
And all their wicked intentions to destroy the
Human race
And how I know, and that's how I know
A Reggae Music, mek we chant down Babylon
With music, mek we chant down Babylon
This music, mek we chant down Babylon
This music, come we chant down Babylon
Come we go chant down Babylon one more time
Come we go chant down Babylon one more time
For them soft, yes them soft
Them soft, mi say them soft
So come we go chant down Babylon one more time
Music you're, music you're the key
Talk to who, please talk to me
Bring the voice of Rastaman
Communicating to everyone
How I, how I know, how I, how I know
And that's how I know
A Reggae Music, chant down, chant down Babylon
Chant down Babylon, chant down Babylon
Chant down Babylon
Reggae Music, chant down Babylon
Reggae Music, chant down Babylon
Reggae Music, chant down Babylon
Reggae Music

Re: Chant Down Babylon
Am I the first to get the soundtrack? AM I Hee hee
I'm a sad case - had to run out at lunch and get it *shakes head*
So far, it's not bad. The remix of "Fear" is kind of bizarre, but the rest isn't bad.
There's also some screensavers and wallpaper on the disc as well. (I'll have to wait until I get home to install that - they frown on that at the corporate level )
Can't wait until tonight! I'll post comments later. Mmmm, Evil max...
Forgot to mention that the liner notes has pictures from all three seasons (but a lot from SR) and none of the gerbil. Hee hee! The back of the U-card (under where the cd sits) is the pic of M&L kissing during TL&VT taken in the rain through the CD door.

Re: Chant Down Babylon
Yep! You got yours first. I just got mine too! Haven't listened to it yet. I also got "The Shipping News" soundtrack! It's good too!
I CAN NOT wait to hear everyone's comments after tonights episode. IF YOU ARE UNSPOILED (don't read past here.....)
Re: Chant Down Babylon
Vicki, I heard "The Shipping News" soundtrack was good as well. But, I haven't seen the movie yet I think it might be gone from the theaters here. Waiting for DVD.
Wow, good ep! I'm gonna miss this show for the next 8 weeks (and probably next year )
Some comments:
* Okay, if we have to endure Max grinding with Morgan Fairchild, at least throw us a bone and let the boy take his shirt off.
* Clayton, Clayton, Clayton. When you have a new body, your arm muscle isn't the first one you should check out.
* I loved Liz's reaction to Max's death. A whole boatload of "It's Bad To Drink" people out there are going to slam it, but, hey, it's reality - people tend to toss back a few when they're upset.
* The first ten minutes were so intense with them escaping Metachem. It reminded me of the beginning of Destiny. And Michael being the one to spill the beans to Jesse. Wow.
* I started to feel like Isabel was Snow White and all of those hovering men were her dwarves! Loved Kyle's attempt to heal her. He was very sweet. And Michael talking about the first time he met her was heartbreaking. Although I was a little surprised that both of the podsters seemed to accept Max's death relatively easily. Yes, Isabel had her original outburst, but then she was kind of over it. Oh, what to say to the 'rents about that one???
* at Jesse making Michael change the bush over and over again in the backyard.
* Roswell needs some gun laws, because it appears that is the only way in which someone can be injured. Here, I compiled a list of people who have either been injured or killed by being shot:
Liz
Michael
Isabel
Kyle
Jim
Monk
Agent Pierce
Nasedo (when he was shapeshifted into an agent in TWR)
Hmm, feeling like I'm leaving someone out...
* Cool that Liz brought Max back. I couldn't look when he told her to hit him with the golf club. I was waiting for some big "Oh, no, Max, I'll just let him kill me because I love you too much to kill you" business, but she just picked up that club and took a swing! You go girl! You take care of yourself!
* "You must kill the one you love" Hee hee Didn't know who you were talking to there, did you, Meris? Hee hee
* ClayMax, while you were strangling Maria, could you have squeezed a little harder? Oops! Did I say that out loud? *blush*
* I have to wonder about Jesse and Isabel's future. First he finds out she lied to him, then he finds out everyone around him was in on the secret but him, then he sees Kyle pouring his heart out to her. I wonder if the whole reason for the comments the doctor made to him was to set up something in the future (in other words, Jesse switching sides - ew, not that way!). I've said it many times before - he could be their worst enemy.
* Okay, how many people are familiar enough with Bob Marley that if someone started signing a couple of lines from one of his songs that they'd immediately know which one it was? Not dissing Mr. Marley because he was a genius, but c'mon.
I'll need to rewatch. A cool ep. Four more to go. By then, the snow might be gone. It was 63 degrees yesterday and tonight it is supposed to get down to 19. *sigh*
Re: Chant Down Babylon
definitely a great show... i really liked this eppy, especially with the evident sense field soundtrack... it made me wanna tear up... lol.
*liked the flashbacks of M&L
*liked the touching moment with Michael
*liked the part when Kyle tried to help Iz
*was a little distrubed with the MF interaction with Clayton (aka: Max's body)
*liked the fact that M&L's relationship seems to have strengthened from the troubles they've been through
((((SIIIIGH...)))) can't believe we have to wait till the end of april for our show to come back... they keep skipping weeks and now a whole two months... blaaah!
Vicki, I forgot about Hubble! Jeez, I can just picture the Ros writers sitting around talking about it now:
"We need something exciting."
"Something shocking."
"Yeah..."
"Hey! I've got an idea! Let's shoot someone!"
"Yeah! We haven't done that in awhile! Shooting is cool!" <insert Beavis and Butthead laugh here>
Oh, wait! I remembered another one! Grant was shot in TSAP. For the love of God, stop the madness!!!
Back to the ep - did anyone notice that when Max's and Liz's lives were flashing before their eyes that Liz had images of everyone in her life and Max only had images of Liz? Aw....
After a few times through the soundtrack, I have to say that I like the Travis song ("More Than Us") that was used in Changes the best. And "Have a Nice Day" doesn't blend with the somber mood of the rest of the CD. Every time I hear the beginning of "Here With Me" ("I didn't hear you leave/I wonder how am I still here") I see Liz saying goodbye to Max in Destiny. Edited by: Midwest Max at: 2/27/02 5:50:05 am

Re: Chant Down Babylon
WOW! What an amazing ep...I'm still reeling and in awe from it. Forgive me while I write my thoughts and feelings down...
I couldn't agree more, Karen, what an opening! Those first however-many-minutes were unbelievable. So much going on and the suspense...I was on the edge of my seat. I was surprised Isabel didn't start crying when Valenti told them Max was dead--but loved her reaction all the same. And did she call him Jim there? Thought that's what she said, but couldn't tell for sure. Guess I'll have to watch it again.
Did anyone notice Isabel's scream when her and Michael held up their hands to stop/kill the bad guys by the limo? She was so furious -- loved her emotions! And then her getting shot (Katherine did a good job of being shot/wounded/unconscious) and everyone's reaction--WOW! And was it me, or did she call for Max after it happened like "Max, help me." --to have him heal/save her??? Loved Jesse's reaction of punching Michael when he wouldn't let him call for an ambulance. And I love that it was Michael that told him the truth. Oh, and LOVED them all in the vehicle taking Isabel to the Valenti's...especially Michael craddling Isabel's head and telling her to hang on. <3 Then poor Kyle's face when they arrive, he sees Isabel shot and bleeding, and hearing that Max is dead. *SIGH* I am loving Nick Weschler.
I actually didn't like Liz's reaction to her feelings, Karen. I mean I guess I just wanted to see her more upset -- show more emotion (crying)-- but she was in that frozen state, same as she was with Alex's death. Loved the interactions between Liz and Maria in this one. Maria is such a great friend to her and I cried when she was crying telling Liz what happened to Max. Shiri did a great job in this one, too! Loved her animated expressions when she was drunk talking to Maria about her powers still being there. And OMG - her scream when she realized they were still there. She did a great job with the scene where Max appears over her and she freaks. Loved that they had flashes just from her touching him. Karen I was waiting for her to say, "I can't Max" when he told her to hit him with the club, too. Absolutely loved how they had flashes while they were falling and when he screamed no and put out the force-field-thing to catch Liz. <3 *SIGH* His Liz, he wouldn't let her die, he saved her. Loved it!
Now, JB -- don't even get me started! What an amazing job he did!!! *clap clap clap* I definitely could've done without having to watch he and Morgan Fairchild going at it... < Excuse me while I spew...> Like Karen said, at least you could've had him shirtless! Evil Max... LMAO that his arm muscle shouldn't be the first one he notices, Karen! Love that when Clayton asked Max what he wanted a picture of Liz flashed. <3
Didn't really expect Liz to heal Max the way it happened. When I read that she would heal him, I thought like he heals, with her hand on him. The kiss and her contact is sweet though, but at the same time kinda didn't like that that's how it happened...would've liked it better if she laid her hand on him and was able to do it.
OMG -- the shot of her leaning over to kiss him and the tear sliding off her cheek on to his face -- BEAUTIFUL!!! <3 I love picturesque (did I spell that right? ) shots like that...beautiful film making in my opinion when there are shots that touching a beautiful. *SIGH*
Speaking of crying...thought Brendan did a good job on his crying scene with Isabel while he told her the story of the day they found one another. Touching. Loved that she said she heard him and followed his voice back. <3 Touching that Kyle tried to heal Isabel...he loves her so much. There's still a part of me that hopes they end up together. I'm wondering about Isabel and Jesse's future, too. It will be interesting to see what happens. LMAO at Jesse making Michael change the bush over and over again. I thought the end conversation with the doctor was off. How he went off on Jesse, then Jesse goes off on him, and then they shake hands like everything's ok. And Jesse never thanked him for saving his wife's life. ??? Think you might be right yet again, Karen...they probably threw that conversation in there for future problems about it.
LOL at you guys naming everyone's that been shot! Sounds like everyone but Max, Maria and Amy of the main characters. Speaking of which, when did Michael get shot? I cannot remember for the life of me and I know I'll kick myself when I hear which ep it was from.
Well enough rambling for me... Sorry it's so long guys. What an awesome show...I am going to miss it for the next two months and next year if it is cancelled. This ep went back to the roots of the old Roswell (S1) and made me fall in love with this show all over again. Wonderfully done. I just hope if the show doesn't come back they'll give us fans a little closure.
Re: Chant Down Babylon
Tina, Michael was shot in the shoulder in HTOHL...come to think of it, Grant was also shot in that ep (by the FBI chick whose name I can't remember). Grant was shot in TSAP and then again in HTOHL. Damn - he was shot twice! Forget aliens - I think the true paranormal activity in Roswell revolves around the fact that 90% of its population has been shot!

Re: Chant Down Babylon Slaps forehead with palm of hand... That's right! See I told you I'd feel stupid after forgetting when he got shot. I could see him grimacing in pain, too, just couldn't get the full pictures in my head. Thanks, Karen!
Maybe that's why I blocked it out though, it was during that Hybrid Crap arc!
Re: Chant Down Babylon
Ok.. It was a good eppy.. (I have tried to type this 3 times and someone keeps calling me.. so I thought I would make it short and to the point.. so there)
