But yeah, Tayor Hicks? I don't care if he's a "friend" of John's or not, I'm not a fan.

Nothing against Taylor. But I prefer supporting artists who've paid their dues.It's similar to the food cooking analogy i.e, Don't take the cake out of the oven before its done.
But,I have a bias against microwave cooking in general and baking in particular. Sorry Taylor. He seems like a nice enough guy though.And has a good voice.I just prefer the good old fashioned way. Now,I think Rueben Stoddard,Clay Aikens,Kelly Clarkson,Fantasia,etc. are all talented. I just have not bought any of their records. I know I'm probably in the minority...

Ok, so someone ove on MSM mentioned that the track that John co-wrote isn't even on the album (which might I add is a good thing because I listened to the first 30 seconds of the tracks and they're all horrible!!!).
That said, if anyone actually had something nice to say about Taylor Hicks, the thread is yours. Otherwise

Ok let me preface this by saying I really liked Taylor on AI and even voted for him. A couple night's ago, he was playing pretty close to home and my friend got some comp tickets to the show. Aside from one other time, I have never left a show early, but I did that night.
I was horribly bored by Taylor's performance and completely unimpressed with his music. He had pretty good energy and a lot of people came to the show, but he did absolutely nothing for me. After about an hour of his set, my friends and I couldn't take it anymore and just took off.
Didn't help that he was in NJ and came out and said "How're you doing, NY?"
