Concept/Storyline
25 years in the future...
The former Digidestined, that is to say Kari, Tai, Ken, Matt and the others were living quite happily with their digidestined children in a world where the Real World and the Digiworld were connected, until Disastermon came along.
The Mega level digimon was too strong for even the strongest of digimon to battle and his powers were greater than any had ever imagined. Using much of his strength he created a barrier that none could penetrate, one that seperated the digital world from the real one.
Some digimon were trapped in the real world while some humans were stuck in the digital world when this happened. Researchers tried their very best to create a digimon that could battle disastermon or even just a way to get through but nothing seemed to work.
It was two weeks after the worlds had seperated when it happened. Children of the Digidestined, often dubbed the Next Generation Digidestined were together, trying to calm down their frantic partners and upset parents when from the sky, much like that fateful day at summer camp so many years ago, digivices like none before them came from the sky.
Each digidestined caught their digivice, which were called D-Gens for they belonged to the Next Generation, and they waited, holding their digivices in front of them.
A portal, swirling almost like water openned in front of them and parents, partners and the digidestined themselves realised what they had to do.
After several teary goodbyes the children took deep breaths and said goodbye to their parents, taking with them only what they had had nearby at the time.
The portal swirled and the next generation digidestined were sucked into the portal one by one.
Would they be able to unite the worlds? Would they ever see their parents again and what would happen on the other side? Only time would tell.
Comments:
Basically the digidestined's children and other next generation digidestined around the world have been sucked into the digital world and called to defend it. Their mission is to unite both worlds, rescue the people trapped within and defeat Disastermon.
The RPG begins with the children waking up on the continent of Printer, a part of the digiworld not devestated as badly as the main continents by Disastermon.
At first they will remain only in the digital world and will have to figure out how their digivices work and work as a team themselves. Later on there will be openings created between worlds, if they are successful early on, and they will be able to come home and back but only them.
