CONSTITUTION OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF TRIÁN
We, the people of Trián do hereby affirm our belief in the following body, which will be the basis of this august nation. It is by this document that we shall adhere, and it is by following the guidelines put down in this constitution that Trián shall become great.
FREE SPEECH
The Triáni government and all Triáni citizens may never embark upon an action or policy which threatens or will threaten the fundamental right of all Triáni citizens of;
1. Freedom of speech
2. Freedom from discrimination on the basis of ethnicity, background, gender, sexual
orientation, opinion, age, physical or mental state, religion or belief.
3. Freedom to obtain, own, use exclusively, and relinquish ownership of property, except in accordance with law.
4. Freedom of press
5. Freedom to peaceably assemble
INDEPENDENCE
The Democracy of Trián possesses complete virtual sovereignty and is a separate, independent nation, albeit a micro-nation. The national board is the centre of activity and the location of government of Trián.
GOVERNMENT SETUP
The Triáni government consists of one legislative body, the congress. Every citizen has the right to debate, propose and vote on laws. A citizen shall never be granted the privilege of casting more than 1 vote. The congress can hand over certain powers to persons or entities. A law passes before the congress if more than half of the members has approved, else it fails. Votes last 72 hours or 3 days.
The congress may create departments to handle national affairs as it sees fit. These departments will be headed by secretaries. The secretary holds the power over the inner structure of the department.
The head of state and government is the Executive. He has the right to veto bills proposed to congress. He also has the right to issue executive orders when the congress has declared a heightened state of security.
The congress may repeal these orders by vote. He appoints the secretaries after the elections and whenever necessary. The executive starts and closes votes in the congress.
All secretaries and the Executive shall meet once every two weeks. They will set goals for the following two weeks.
ELECTIONS
There will be Executive elections every two months in Trián. Elections last 96 hours or 4 days. Every citizen shall be allowed to vote in these elections.
ADMIN POWERS
The congress or Triáni law will decide who has admin powers over the national boards. The Executive will always have admin powers over the board.
CITIZENSHIP
Immigration requests have to be approved by the congress. This vote will last 36 hours. It is allowed for a citizen to be citizen of another micronation.
IDENTITY
Trián shall always target to create a strong economy. This is a priority.
The Triáni flag consists of 3 vertical stripes equal in size, dark yellow-white-black from left to right.
The Triáni national language is English, yet any language may be spoken.
The national anthem is "Oh, Trián". The first verse alone is sung on most occasions.
