Liked it more than I expected I would. Some thoughts:
* So does Michael really not agree with Isabel getting married or were his feelings hurt that she didn't tell him herself?
* Liz refusing to help Mrs. E by not giving her Max's phone number was uncharacteristic and unnecessary. Mrs. E isn't the person Max had the falling out with.
* At first I thought it was uncharacteristic for Mrs E to take Max's number from Isabel's planner, but then I thought about it and I think that's really how desperate and worried she is about her son. He's breaking her heart.
* I found it interesting that Max made a reference to "Sleeping with the enemy." Did Cal know Tess was the enemy, and if he did, why didn't he do something to warn Max about her if his job was to truly know what went on in Max's life?
* Got a clue for you, Max. If someone has to do exactly what you say, the first thing you say is, "Please stop standing on my face and throwing me against walls, etc."
* Loved Max walking in all "Hollywood" and pitching his movie idea.
* Loved Liz making a "care package" for Max (very teen-age girlish) and then giving it to Maria when Max wasn't calling her. at Maria asking if they were breaking up!
* May we never see the ep titled "Roswell the Musical."
* Very touching, very unexpected M&L moment at the end of the ep. I liked that Liz wouldn't let Max touch her even though he was trying (poorly) to apologize. I found it disturbing that he was willing to ignore her call and get on the ship and leave her behind - but I guess at that point he was so driven that he didn't see what he was doing any more. Anyway, I liked the honestly with which he told her how he'd messed up everything and everyone because he just about has.
* Why didn't Max heal Cal?
* What was the point of Cal starting the fire in the film vault?
* I never thought I'd hear anyone call Max a "punk."
* I read descriptions of this ep elsewhere that said Max would find out 'startling revelations' about himself and his son...so, what did we find out about the son? <scratches her head, looks around> Nothing I can think of.
Gotta run. I may be MIA for awhile because I'm packing up the U-Haul and heading east this weekend. Tina, I know I owe you an email Sorry, I've been really really busy ... I know, I know, I sound like a broken record.

LOVED last night's ep!
Ok, first off, I'm shocked & freaking out because I've been to that house that they used for Kal's home! It's only about 10 mins from my mom's house!!! A guy I dated in high school used to live on the property (his parents helped out the people that owned/built it). I even walked through it while it was under construction to look like that (major overhaul & facelift). It's an awesome house with amazing views and gardens. I was stunned. While I was watching the preview after last week's ep, when Kal throws Max back towards the staircase, I thought to myself -- That looks just like that house! Sure enough it was! Very cool! But bummed that JB was practically in my backyard and I couldn't have watched them film.
Oh, and speaking of backyard...TWICE! They filmed the wedding at Calamigo's Ranch in Malibu -- I saw the address on the shoot sheet and almost went, but they ranch's "open to the public" hours ended at 5pm and that's when they were scheduled to start, so I probably couldn't have gotten in to see anything anyway. But that's only like 10 mins from my work! ARGH to private property and open to public hours!!! :
Now, some thoughts on "Control"...
-Just knew Isabel was going to ask Liz & Maria to be her bridesmaids. But wished she would've done it nicer and not so snobbish. Would've been awesome to have a little female bonding scene between the THREE of them. Couldn't believe she left Maria to tell Micahel though...
-So, did the guys notice that Liz/Shiri kissed Maria/Majandra when she was putting together Max's care package and they were joking around, right before Isabel showed up??? Just thought I'd point that out... I thought it was quite funny and cute! Tabasco/M&M cookies...and she came up with the recipe all by herself! Nice to see some Liz/Maria friendship interaction--missed it!
-LOVED Maria's "Are we breaking up?" line
-Isabel's wedding idea is my dream wedding! We found a place that has an old barn to have the reception in, but it's not completely finished getting ready for that yet, so we didn't book the place for our wedding. Would've been awesome though! *SIGH*
-Kind of expected Mrs. E's actions/reactions to Isabel. when she walked in on them kissing in the kitchen. And at Michael bringing the dish back dirty!
-Couldn't believe Liz actually denied Mrs. E Max's cell number! *SHOCK!* Also, Maria's Romeo & Juliet comment...did you catch the slight pause/look on Liz's face? Reminded me of "End of the World" and looked like she associated it back to that, too. Back to my predicition that M/L are on their way to becoming FMax & FLiz! Hmmm....
-Glad Michael finally congratulated Isabel, even though it seemed him giving in. The smile on her face right after he said it was great! at him blowing up the light instead of just blowing up the lightbulb!
-Kal was cool, funny how he had to do what Max told him (and tried to cover it up by offering the phone to Max).
- MM I agree, LOVED Max walking in all "Hollywood" to the party and pitching Kal the Alien story/movie!!! LMAO Awesome scenes! And boy did he look **HOT** --YEOWSERS!!! :: DROOL :: :: DROOL :: :: DROOL :: I missed the second half "Max Evan, Antar Films"
-Couldn't believe he dismissed Liz's call and was about to get on board the ship anyway! Thought maybe her call would stop him. So glad the ship won't work now...wonder if that's the last we'll hear of that (ridiculous - sorry for those that like it) storyline??? Hope so.
-Kal in the alien form -- cool. Me liked. And his glance backwards at Max. Hope Max follows his advice and clings more to him human side. And was glad Max apologized to Kal after Kal's comment about being just like he was on their home planet and that he would hate him forever.
-LOVED the ending (surprise! surprise! ) and her holding him even though she tried to be strong and let him know what he did was not cool. I hope he sticks to what he said this time and never does leave her. PERFECT SONG, TOO!!! Thanks for identifying and posting the lyrics, MM I thought we were about to see another M/L breakup and I would've been mad! Glad it didn't end that way.
That's all I can think of to comment on at the moment.
Interesting how next week's is like "Will she say 'I do'?"... Didn't really expect it like that and assumed they get married (I'm completely UN-spoiled)...but maybe they don't, huh? Can't wait to see it! And was that Mark-Paul Gosslar (sp? Zack from 'Saved by the Bell') playing Khivar??? at Isabel's cold shower comment...and was she saying that to Kyle?

okay first of all... i LOVED this episode... i cannot express how much i have wanted max to cut his hair!!! HOT, HOT, HOT!!!
i really liked that they showed more of liz & maria's friendship like they did before, i missed that. i also liked how liz made those tobasco m&m cookies... very cute.
felt sorry for mrs. e, poor thing is worried sick about max and he just keeps her in the dark... does mr. e have any feelings on the matter? he's seemingly absent, especially with the whole issue of iz getting married...
felt bad for kal, poor guy. no wonder he was such a jerk to max. was probably so used to being stepped on that once he found "freedom" he just ran for it. i hope that he shows up again though, that would be cool... doubtful, but cool.
about the ending... did anyone just so happen to notice that max's left arm looked limp for a little while. i don't know if it's just me or what, but as he walked up to liz his left arm didn't move at all... just an observation. it's like that was his script arm and he just forgot to use it or something... eh, whatever!
***congrats to the d-back fans, unfortunately i'm a yankee gal... don't hate me!!! LOL i didn't even watch this year... how sad is that!

Okay, this is bothering me...when Max said he had a son, Kal assumed he'd "made it with a female hybrid." How did he know that? Because only a hybrid leaving earth with Max's son would require the spaceship so Max could get him back, or because Max can't impregnate a human? Hmmm...

MM I thought the same thing about mating with a hybrid... but what got me was the WAY Cal said it... Like OH MY GOD WHAT DID YOU DO??? Well hello no one told him NOT TO!!!! NOTICE he didn't say Tess, Ava or the queen??? that surprised me... Something isn't right here or maybe its just me going into over drive!! Is/WAS Cal the protector of the ROYAL 4? Nasado was not??? If that is so why did Cal let Nasado get so close.. why didn't he help them with the Skins? He is watching over Max.. that is for sure... He knew about his mother, and seemed to know Max was talking to his mother without Max saying it was his mother... hmmmm He didn't ask about Is, or Michael??? Hmmm strange....
This is making me think that there was no furture Max... Why would Cal have let that happen.. (what happened in the future.. he seems to be pretty darn good with powers)

As some of you may know, I sometimes do not watch Roswell when it's on, but tape it and watch it later. It seems that the most recent episode started and ended 7-10 minutes late because Buffy ran long.
Therefore my tape ends before the episode is over. Could someone fill me in on what happened during the last 7-10 minutes. The last scenes I saw were Michael congratulating Isabel on her impending marriage and then it cut off just as Liz was beginning to mop a floor.

Ryal here is what was psoted on the Crashdown News section:
Liz is cleaning up the back of the Crashdown and throws away some trash. She then heads out to the front of the store looking a little sad. She looks around the café and then looks up and sees Max staring back at her through the outside window of the café. Once he sees that she spotted him, he walks to the door and enters the restaurant. Liz remains standing where she is as he walks inside and stands by the front door.
LIZ: Hi.
MAX: Hi.
LIZ: When did you get back?
MAX: Just… pauses and looks down and then up at her now.
He looks at her and then starts making his way over towards where she is standing.
LIZ: You didn't call.
MAX: continuing to walk over towards her I was driving all night. I just had to get back to see you.
Max stops midway to her.
MAX: I'm..I'm sorry.
LIZ: shaking her head no You can't do this, Max. I love you but…you know lately, I just haven't been feeling it back.
MAX: I didn't mean.. starts walking over to her and reaching for her with his right hand
LIZ: But you did.
Max is standing in front of her.
MAX: Liz, I know you've been here, alone waiting for me and I know that it's wrong.
He reaches out for her but she steps back away from him.
LIZ: No Max!
Max is hurt by her actions and appears ready to cry. He leans back against the counter and looks forelorn. Liz looks at him and realizes he's hurting about something.
LIZ: What, Max? What happened?
The camera pans in close on Max's face (so close you can see all the whiskers on his unshaven face) Max begins talking as the camera focuses on Liz's reactions to Max's words.
MAX: I failed. And my son…he's up there somewhere.
Max begins crying as he points upwards at the mention of his son.
MAX: I've just..I've just messed everything up. Langley's life. Yours.
At the mention of her name and how Max is hurting, Liz goes over to Max and hugs him around his neck as he stands there before hugging her back.
MAX: I'm so sorry, Liz. I'm so sorry.
LIZ: speaking next to his neck It's okay. It's okay.
Tina, I know I owe you an email
