I have a question... if off the menu was supposed to show yesterday, and this is going to show next monday... when are they going to show off the menu? That's the 6th episode as far as I know. *befuddled*

It's not really fair to Isabel, they kill off every person she loves! Ok, so my problem, with Alex gone and Isabel leaving for college if she really does then... that kinda cuts down the crew a bit. I need to go read the spoilers again for departure, I heard a rumor somewhere (which probably isn't true) that Tess dies.

"Off The Menu" will aire as the second-to-the-last episode...right before the season finale "Departure". I don't know how they are going to pull this off, but that's when it's going to aire.

This was harder to watch than I had anticipated. It was very well done, and Collin was in rare form. As Alex, he showed a new maturity that was not there before. But still this was agonizing to watch. And the chasm that has opened up between the two factions. Us against them. I hope this is reflected in the overnite ratings. How great the episode was.

This one was really good... Wow... the acting was just done so well.... I think that Iz does some of the BEST emotional scenes. She always has and you can just feel her emotions... Liz has a point... about the alien... something was a bit weird.. one minute he was Alex and then he was just weird. Well this one defiantly brought me back to Roswell.. not that I was leaving but you know after 6 weeks then to get that Prom one.. Oh please... But this.. this was good... The whole Us against Them thing...
Well ok I am done for now.. OH OH OH... LIZ GOT HER HAIR BACK WOOOO HOOOOO....

Ack! I've had my 2 cents to put in and couldn't get on here!! How frustrating!!
Wow, this was much harder to watch than I thought it was going to be. Sometimes being spoiled doesn't help all that much. Some thoughts:
*Loved Max and Michael's exchange about "Crappy Tiger" and the "Matrix" and Max telling Michael he wouldn't let him prefer Keanu Reeves over Michelle Yeoh.
*I thought the scene between Jim and Kyle was very touching. At first I couldn't understand why Jim was telling him to remember it happened yesterday, then he wished him a happy birthday and I felt really sad for Kyle.
*Majandra's expression when she saw Jim in the kitchen was priceless. She played devastated very well - and her tribute to Alex at the funeral was very touching.
*I was surprised to see Liz at Max's window, and I really thought we would see that she'd spent the night. Not that they'd slept together, but I thought that's what she'd meant when she asked to stay. Very cute that Max nuked her some mac and cheese!
*Wow - these kids have parents! I saw John Doe's name in the credits - but did anyone see him?
*I was very touched at how Michael cared for Maria and Amy. Although, I was surprised that he walked away from Maria at the end after Max and Liz fought in Alex's room.
*So, just what is Jim's capacity these days with the sheriff's department?
*Katie just broke my heart. She was absolutely superb in this one. Her dreams - from being excited that Alex wasn't really dead, to knowing she had to say good bye - just broke my heart. Her reaction to fleeing Roswell was very natural, I think, as some people see geographic changes as solutions to their problems. She was wonderful.
*Max's facial expression when he left the van just made me cry.
*Loved Liz quoting Robert Frost when she saw the credit card receipt. It dawned on me that she once sacrificed Alex's friendship for Max's secret, now she may be sacrificing Max's secret for the truth about Alex's death.
From the looks of next week, it appears that Tess is going to prey on Max's vulnerability. Wench.

I'm with, Karen, how frustrating to not be able to get on here for 2 days to talk about this one!
Everything Karen said...DITTO!!! BTW, nope, don't remember seeing John Doe...unless it was at the funeral scene, maybe??? Thought the same thing though...WOW!~they DO have parents!
Few things:
*BRAVO to Katie.....what an excellent job she did in this episode! Wonderful.
*In fact, the entire cast did an amazing job here, such emotion...left me speechless and crying right along with all of them.
*Maria/Majandra's chalk board scene in the beginning was cute, too! I'm kinda gettin used to those...and liking them more and more. Was nice to start out this ep with that light-hearted humor (Maria & chalkboard / Max & Michael arguing about "Crap...Crouching Tiger & Matrix") with how sad we all knew it would be.
*Shiri did an excellent job, too...her reaction was incredible and getting in Max's face like that---Whew! It was an ugly scene, but very well done by all.
Can't wait to see next week's w/ all the Max/Liz friction! However, Tess (the hoe) and Max will probably make me sick to my stomach! But, Karen did bring up a good point to me in an email...At least we get to see JB half-naked again! Just concentrate on THAT instead of who he's with!

Yay! I finally made it in here! I'm with everyone else, it was frustrating not being able to come in here and talk about this amazing episode!
I thought everyone did a superb job, and Ron Moore actually wrote a decent episode that wasn't full of sci-fi for a change.
My favorite scenes were the light hearted scenes with Max and Michael arguing over the movies, and when Alex was talking on the phone with Isabel and trying to be "strong."
I also think Alex's death was very suspicious and I think I would be determined to find out the truth like Liz.
Great episode, looking forward to next week's. Not looking forward to Tess (the hussy) and those intimate scenes.

Ok.. Umm who changed the future? Who was in Phx where they danced all night? Ummm Michael, Iz, Maria, AND ALEX!!!
Who is reponsable? I think that part was thrown into TEOTW for a reason... That if the future wasn't changed by Max and Liz.. Alax would have been still alive for atleast a few more years for sure... Liz knows he would have been still alive... so she knows something else is happening.. that DIDN'T happen in the other future... So she does have a clue something else is wrong... He was with Iz now.. something he REALLY wanted.. Our Liz will find out!!!!

Yes, we have to know the truth! As much as I'm going to hate Monday's eppy b/c of... you know... we need to know what really happened to Alex. God, it makes me sick to my stomach just thinking about what we're going to have to sit through.
Vicki and I have our laughs about it. She says, "At least we'll see Max again w/o a shirt on." And I'm like, "I don't care if he has 5 layers of clothes on! I want him to be with Liz!" LoL, each to her own, I guess!

This episode was definately well named.. I couldn't stop myself from crying.. the scene that really broke my heart was when Alex left Isabel and walked out the doors.. that just killed me... I just wanted him to stay... (I know that was irrational but one can hope.. sorta like how all of us dreamers continue to hope that Max and Liz will get back together). Either way, a great episode
