Data Loggers Aim / Motec
Has anyone used or have a Motec SDL or Aim MXL data logger? I am looking at the Aim MXL logger but would like to know of any first hand experiences with either. Are they helpful enough to justify the cost for our level of motorsport.
Thanks.

Aim Datalogger
For some good information on both, have a talk to Anton's Race Electrics 0429 031 488. He knows the Aim inside out, and also knows a bit about the motec SDL.

The AIM will log all that Your ECU reads plus 8 other inputs(correct me).Does track mapping/Splits overlays ect....go to the web site!
Will not do as much as the motec and the dash it self is not as user freindly. ie if you have an alarm you cant ignore it, and a few other small things, however i find the softwere better on the AIM.
Is it worth the money at our level...every cent!
We found a problem with oil pressure-saved engine
Help with gearbox ratios-saved few days testing and marriage
Missfire at high speed-saved my sanity
Thats just car set up.
The infomation on lap times and how it helps is great.
Ill never build a car with out one.
