Daylight Savings - Comm games & Microsoft!
ALERT: CRITICAL NOTICE TO ALL USERS
Due to the Commonwealth Games, daylight saving in states and territories that observe it has been extended to Sunday 2nd April 2006.
This one-off change will cause some appointments in Outlook calendars, during the extended daylight saving period, to appear one hour ahead of the actual appointment time.
When:
Sunday 26th March – Sunday 2nd April 2006
What You Need to Know:
Both recurring and non-recurring calendar appointments within the extended period may be affected.
2.        The problem will persist for the duration of the daylight saving extension only, and will resolve itself from Monday 3rd April 2006
3.        To avoid confusion, the calendar system will not issue appointment reminders during this period.
What You Need to Do:
You can confirm the correct time of an appointment by opening the meeting request and reviewing the information in the notes field. (See example below.)
2.        Please DO NOT change existing appointment times to correct for the daylight saving extension.
3.        Please refrain from creating recurring appointments during the daylight saving extension.
We apologise for the inconvenience created by this problem. We have worked with Microsoft to explore a range of options, but have been unable to develop a solution that does not cause more significant disruption to our calendar system.
