Desecration of the Temple
I once did something really bad many years ago to a catholic church. I had just gotten saved and was still a little bit too radical. My church was ranting about how wrong the catholic church was and teaching about their errors.

Well it just so happened that I had to visit a catholic church for some reason, but I forget what it was. I remember sombody warning me not to touch the alter, and different things.

I went back to that catholic church with some others and made a mess. I blew out candles, poured my strawberry punch in some of the holy water dishes, and lastly I went up on that alter and slapped it, and it set off a loud alarm. That place was so dead... the priest smoked and had public beer parties and other things.

I feel bad now about that behaviour, but the funny thing is not one thing I did was blasphemous as they all would think; because none of their traditions that I plundered were biblical.

Oh well,

Re: Desecration of the Temple
It is true most of the beliefs that the Catholics hold dear are not biblicaly based, or evn correct. Yet that does not justify such action. It is good to hear you are remorseful now for those actions.

I'm going to a Catholic church now (but I'm going non-denom at age 18 and going to seminary to become a pastor) but in my church, we never did any of that weird stuff....

Catholic or Protestant, I think in any church you are going to be dissapointed if you are looking for people who act like saints all the time. After all, it's like Jesus told the Pharisees, He came for the sinners, not the righteous.
