Dickens?
Okay, we've discussed Jane Austen to some extent, so now, what do you think of Charles Dickens' books? :)

I have read several of his works: Our Mutual Friend, Nicholas Nickleby, and A Tale of Two Cities. Oh yes, and Oliver Twist. I think my favorites are Our Mutual Friend and Nicholas Nickleby. OMF is extremely long, but I enjoyed it immensely. I liked the mystery that is in it. :)

So, what do you think of Dickens? Looking forward to your replies! :sunshine

Re: Dickens?
I've only seen Dickens's Movies, made from the books, but I would say they're all right. They make you think, and I think if you can read them with discernment, which I know you do Krista;) , they're fine:)

Just my opinion:)

Re: Dickens?
We have seen movies of 'A Christmas Carol', 'Great Expectations', 'Nicholas Nickleby', and 'David Copperfield'.I had not read any of the books until recently (excopt when I was younger I read those 'adapted for children':eek versions of 'Great Expectations', 'A Tale of Two Cities', and 'A Christmas Carol').We watched 'David Copperfield' and decided we wanted to read the book.Mommy had to read it first; then I read it.My brother Trey (13) is almost finished with it.I want to read 'Nicholas Nickleby', but I am trying to cut back on novels;) .
In Christ,
