I thought we could give post differnet ways you make oatmeal. It is kinda bland by itself. I like mine slightly watery. Not so mushy and dry. Mom likes to put less water in and it gets really thick. I guess some people like it that way! Everyday I just eat it with raisins. Or get some of craisins, dried cranberries I believe. Get a few raisins in everybite and you don't need any sweetener. For a special treat I will do frozen blueberries and sugar or apples, cinamon and brown sugar. The little kids usally just have it plain w/ honey as a sweetener. As a special treat for them (holidays, birthdays, just because!) they like colored sprinkles. Sooooo, how do you (or other family members) like your oatmeal?

Ever heard of Musli?
The night before, mix together dry oats, plenty of water, and raisins if you like them. Let it sit out overnight (covered, of course). In the morning, chop up apple and banana, and add that in along with raw pumpkin and/or sunflower seeds. As far as I know, these things could be added in the night before instead. This is room-temperature oatmeal, but it's pretty good with all that stuff in it! Another way I sometimes like oatmeal is with peanut butter in it. Atlanta |

Hi, After cooking our oatmeal we like to add Mapleine flavoring, shredded coconut, sliced almonds, and a little bit of raw sugar, or brown sugar. We call it Maple suprise. lol ~*~Shannon~*~ ![]() |

Mmmm... This morning we tried something new. We put pineapple chunks and shredded coconut in our oatmeal. You could also put some of your favorite nuts in it. We named it "Pina colada oatmeal". It was good! ~*~Shannon~*~ ![]() |
