Dislike? From some of the people I have heard talk about daemons, I am curious why so many dislike them? I understand that they can be mean and nasty, but they aren't all like that! Are daemons the nastiest off all creations? Reznor |

Since nobody has responded, I think I shall respond to myself.
I think there is a pre-conceived notion that daemons or demons are just naturally evil. But from some of my research, some demons were protectors, or guardians and not some gruesome creation from "hell" with a damned soul or some craziness like that. Does nobody else have an opinion on this? Or is it that nobody knows anything about the subject? I'm looking for even an opinion, even you can't back it up with anything substantial. Re: Dislike? It could possibly be the same reason why people dislike or do not believe in vampires. It is something made from horror stories to keep bad kids in-line. Something that stereotypes something that hides in the dark... With this hiding there will not be many sources that are truthfully in a certain subject. "The nights silence brakes to calls of wild,

Re: Dislike? NightAngel, I think you're kind of right. Stereotypes give demons a really bad reputation. Although, they can be out right nasty, so I guess maybe the stereotype isn't completely wrong, but they say that a stereotype is created from some form of truth. I was pondering an idea that maybe some of the creatures we hear about in horror stories were real, and they were merely written about... kind of like the bible. A bunch of men were delivering the word of God, well maybe the horror stories are merely people writing about their experiences? Just an idea... The thing is, deep down even when I was a kid, I knew that some of those things were real. It use to scare me a lot because I knew they were real and I had only heard bad nasty things, and so I thought those things would happen to me. Re: Dislike? Rae, my level of mean and ugliness depends on the person evaluating me. Some people would probably say I am... and hopefully some others wouldn't. Who knows though... I have been known to get real mean though, but only to those who deserve it of course... *grin* And although this might sound kind of bad, but sometimes it is pretty fun to be mean. Re: Dislike? *shrugs* For the most part the daemonkin I have dealt with are by and large intelligent people who do not suffer fools. Can't say I blame them. Why put up with people who piss you off simply for being polite in the eyes of society? Especially since society frowns on you already. They are more honest in that they express disgust, anger and revulsion. They are also more honest when it comes to their sexual natures and apetites. Most people tend to find honesty harsh and repellant. Personally I prefer it. =^..^= |

Re: Dislike? Oh Marquise, I would definitly agree. I perfer people to be straight to the point and not bounce around what they are truly trying to say. Of the daemonkin that I have met, I would agree with your assessment. I too have issues with those who irritate me and having to deal with them. It takes a lot of effort sometimes at my work to not tear their flesh from this skulls. I just seem to have a real lack of patience of ignorance and stupidity. I guess that would fit to form though. It astounds me though how many truly stupid people walk around this planet. It is very amazing how some people don't kill themselves purely by accident. I will say though that the daemonkin that I have run across, for the most part they are very intelligent and handle themselves very well. Reznor |

Re: Dislike? That's why I have worked on a pretty heft vocabulary. I only trot out really big words on occassion when I want to muse myself. Liek the sales girl who wanted me to buy this truly reprehensible garment. It was vile. So I used a praising voice and told her how nascient it was amoung other things. Her associate came over after a few minutes - laughed like crazy and told the bitch to leave me alone. It was rather amusing. =^..^= |

Re: Dislike? Hehe that's pretty funny. I wish I had a story as good as that, but a few weeks ago I went to a Costco (which you probably know what they is, but if not it has a huge shopping store where WAY to many people go) and this old lady pulled out in front of me while my lover and I were trying to work our way through the maze of cattle and I turned back to her and in a deep tone growled at her and freaked her out real bad.  Was quite amusing... although my lover was quite surprised by it too. Reznor |

I don't think most humans pay attention to their surroundings and I think that is why it always catches me off guard when somebody notices there is something "odd" about me. I typically find it in children and I think that is because kids have no filters. Adults have filters that won't allow them to see things beyond themselves or even to have fun for that matter. Adults don't believe in possibilities...
