HisGirl86 ~Reminisce Member~ Posts: 3 (12/21/02 10:33 am) Reply	Elisabeth Elliot I have been reading through Mrs. Elliot's books lately--- Through the Gates of Splendor The Shadow of the Almighty Passion and Purity Quest for Love And I'm about to read Let Me Be A Woman I have been convicted and encouraged through all of her books--God speaks through her!! "There are few people of whom I really love, and still fewer of whom I think well. The more I see of the world, the more I am dissatisfied with it; and every day confirms my belief in the inconsistency of all human characters, and of the little dependence that can be placed on the appearance of either merit or sense" Praise God this world is not our home, "but our citizenship is in heaven"

I love Quest for Love and Passion and Putity too. There's another one a little harder to find, called The Music of His Promises, that is good too. Blessings, Deb

They were so good! Has anyone read Joshua Harris? His books on courtship (I Kissed Dating Goodbye & Boy Meets Girl) are also really good Blessings, Deb

I am reading "I Kissed Dating Goodbye" for like the third time now. He is one of my favorite authors. Has anyone read any books by Eric and Leslie Ludy? They are the author's of "When God Writes Your Love Story" and "When Dreams Come True." Both really inspiring books. Another good book I am reading right now is, "A Young Woman After God Own Heart" by Elizabeth George. So far it is really good! (She has also written "A Woman After God's Own Heart" and many others.) I think you meant to ask Kristin, because I haven't posted on this topic yet, but... no, I haven't seen Josh Harris' "Searching For True Love" vidoes. I have read his book "I Kissed Dating Goodbye"--it was sooooooo good! Have you read Boy Meets Girl? I haven't read Eric and Leslie's books. How are they? Are they more for the people that are courting (or of courting age)? Or are they for the single younger people? TTYL! ~Krista

Ooops, sorry Well, I'll just tell you as well I've read both of Josh Harris's books, and both of Eric and Leslie's. E&L's are for teen through adult. They were purposefully written for teens, as an encouragement to wait on God , but they are for courting adults, too Yes, they are good They were along the lines of Josh Harris.
