Engine Flexible Mounts
I replaced my engine mounts recently, and I was able to track down the same mounts as were used originally. They are still made and are exactly as they were 27 years ago. Bushings, Inc 1967 Rochester Industrial Drive, Rochester Hills, Michigan 48309-3340 Phone: [248]650-0603 Fax: [248]650-0606. www.bushingsinc.com
They advised that the old mounts were for engines up to 850 pounds weight, and recommended I change from them [DF-100] to a more appropriate one, DF2205-2, for engines up to 450 pounds. It is a little taller but similar in shape and is slightly softer. I have no complaint about the replacements and when my engine is properly aligned, which it is not yet, should be quieter and smoother; I noticed that the vibration that was previosly causing the bow roller to rattle on occasions had stopped.
