Falling asleep
Irvin sat on a a very comfortable couch, his head resting to one side, his face ex-pressionless. The day had gone by rather quickly, but he was feeling strangely tired.
He shifted his position so that he was now staring into the flames of the fireplace. The common room was so quiet that the crackling of the embers within could easily be heard.
"Very soon," Irvin thought airily, "I will fall asleep."But instead of getting up to the dorms, he remained seated and staring into the fire.

Re: Falling asleep
Eris was returning to the common room from dinner when she spotted her exhausted looking classmate. She was thinking about leaving him alone with his thoughts, and turning in for the evening and made her way to the stairs to the girls dorms. Halfway up, she paused, shook her head and walked back down to the common room.

"I'm sorry to bother you," She started, walking over to the arm chair by the fire and sitting down in it "but, are you okay?" She asked, looking Irvin over with benevolent dark brown eyes.

Re: Falling asleep
“I’m sorry to bother you, but are you okay?” Irvin heard someone’s voice speaking to him, seemingly from afar. But hearing the voice of somebody else appeared to slightly wake him up. His eyes opened up and searched for the speaker until his sight landed on a girl seated not too far away.
“Me?” he shrugged, still quite sleepy. “I have no idea. I’m alive, so I suppose so.” Irvin leaned back and crossed his arms, wondering why the girl in front of him looked familiar. “You were in my History of Magic class,” he said bluntly.

Re: Falling asleep
"That's right, boring class really, History of Magic." She said with a hint of laughter in her voice. "I'm sorry to have interrupted your nap...I'm Eris, by the way, Eris Ackart." Eris smiled slightly before turning her gaze to the fireplace. She pulled her legs up into the chair with her and hugged her knees to her chest and rested her chin on them. "Are you just tired? Or sick?" She asked the other student. Eris had a habit of caring for people, which could explain her concern when she found him sleeping in the common room.

Re: Falling asleep
"Right now, just tired," Irvin yawned. "The days go by quick, and sometimes I just feel lost and think that I already have too much to think about...but thanks for asking, Eris."
From his position, Irvin tried to sit up in a more properly manner; Eris was obviously being friendly to him and he didn't want to look like an undignified loser. "Oh yes, my introduction...I'm Irvin Azarel," he said with a smile.

Re: Falling asleep
"Pleased to officially make your acquaintance, Irvin." Eris said with a smile.

"I understand what you mean though. I often feel as if things here are moving at warp speed. And before you know it, you're already in the next year and you hardly recall having time for your potions final."

Re: Falling asleep
The door to the boys dormitray slid open as a youne boy that was in his first year walked out and closed the door. He looked at his fellow Hufflepuffs, they where much older than him. He could see that they where talking about something, he did not know.

"Hello." he chirped quickly at them as he looked at them closely. He took a step back as his sholder bumped one of his books down to the floor as he pulled out his wand and pointed it at the book and said loudly Levitation as the book rose into mid air as was set on the table.

“Well, I’m glad at least one person understands.” Irvin smiled back at Eris and nodded.
Then a younger Hufflepuff greeted them. As Irvin turned around, he watched the boy accidentally hit a book and drop it…but used a levitation spell to place it on the table. “Hello.” Irvin answered the boy, watching him. “You seem to enjoy practicing your Charms, don’t you?” he added in a joking manner.

((Brian, you might want to fix your spelling and sentence construction...and the levitation spell is Wingardium Leviosa.))

Re: Falling asleep
(ok)
Brian looked up as he put his wand away. He smiled back as he looked at the fire for a few seconds before saying
"Well, I have to head to the libary to put this book back." Brian said as he grabbed the book and carried it out of the house.

Re: Falling asleep
Eris had let Irvin take the lead in speaking to the first year. As he quickly took his leave, Eris' dark brown eyes followed him out of the common room.

"That better not have been one of my books." She said with a hint of laughter in her voice.

Re: Falling asleep
Irvin let out a small laugh and looked the boy as he left the common room, the book in his hands. "That was quick. He said 'hi' then left. Are first years like that? Were we like that when we were first years?" He leaned back casually and rubbed his eyes. The sleepiness seemed to be flowing back; his eyes were feeling heavy. "Never mind." he said, shaking his head.

Re: Falling asleep

Brian walked quickly down the large empty hall toward the Libary. He soon saw the door to the hall was locked as he set it on the cart outside the door that had other books on it. He hoped that putting it there was a good idea. He looked back at the book and headed toward the common room again.

On his way he heard a strange noice coming down the hall behind him, hiding in the dark! he wipped out his wand as he sifted through his mind for a spell, he could not think of any! Then he thought of one he read and yelled pointing his wand into the darkness

Stupefy!

The spells usem was to stun the thing coming toward him as a bolt srot from his wand and hit the figure stunning them for a few seconds as he yelled a second spell

Incarcerous

The sspell sent robes around the stunned figure who now shot a curse that sent him flying to the other end of the hall a she hit the wall breaking his sholder blade as he lay nearly out cold. he managed to crawl up the stairs to the Hufflepuff house door as he opened it to see the two Hufflepuffs still sitting there. He moved his wrist over his lip and wiped the bloof from the spell hitting him in the chin.

Re: Falling asleep
"We didn't even get a name or anything..." Eris replied, furrowing her brow a little. "I don't think so...it feels like first year was so long ago." She said, turning to see who was entering the common room.

Eris never had been very good about keeping her composure when she saw blood. Her face became very pale when her dark brown eyes landed on the injured first year. She shot up out of her chair and ran over to him.

"Uh...kid?" She said, not yet knowing his name, "What happened?! Where are you hurt?" She said, frantically eyeing him for injuries.

Re: Falling asleep
Irvin stood up in alarm when he saw the young Hufflepuff again…the one who said he had to go to the library. He examined the boy behind Eris; the boy looked hurt. Irvin brushed his hair out of his eyes so he could take a better look, concern whirling. “Calm…do you need the hospital wing?”
He raised an eyebrow and bit his lip again; the kid need not answer that. He moved past Eris and, slowly and gently, lifted the boy by the arm to a sitting position, then to a stand. “What’s your name?” he asked, trying to find consciousness.

"They? Who are 'They'?" Eris asked, wrapping her arms around her small waist and biting on the second knuckle of his index finger.

"Irvin, do you need help?" She offered, concern showing in her dark brown eyes.

Re: Falling asleep
He nodded in reply. “Just take his other arm. Let’s get him to the Hospital Wing.” Although he also had questions in his head, Irvin knew he had to wait for the answers. He started humming a soft, calming tune under his breath, trying to relax the boy. Fortunately, the kid seemed conscious. Irvin started walking him to the common room door and out into the corridors.

((Okay...let's continue in the hospital wing.))
