Re: Favorite part of homeschooling?
Mrs. Sheryl,

Thank you for asking these questions--it will be fun to see the answers!!!

My favorite part of school? As far as homeshool goes, being able to go at my own pace, not having to deal with peer pressure:rolleyes , and being with my family (I could add more to this list, but...!!). My favorite subject is writing!!!:pc

My favorite memory? Pretending to be kangaroos hopping around the living room for the letter "K"!!!:rollin
I was about 6 years old.

What would I change? Not much:) , except maybe know for certain when I'll been done with "official" schooling!! :grad

Hannah,
Your Kangaroo memory sounds like me! My favorite memory was doing the hokey pokey with Mom to learn the difference between left and right!!!! :) I thought it was so hilarious to see my mom dancing around!!!! I was just five at the time. :)

Re: Favorite part of homeschooling?
Um, let's see...........

Favorite Memory: Playing football with my brothers during lunch break (yup, it was tackle football.....there's nothing like the sensation of having an older brother 3 years older than you, and twice your size coming at you because you have the ball. My younger brother wasn't quite so scary;) :) ) for PE;) I loved it, believe or not:)

Favorite Part of Homeschooling: Going at my own pace, and being able to do what I liked after I finished. If I finished early, I could have most of the day free;)

What Would I Do Differently: Add more subjects I enjoyed, along with the 4 basics (math, langauge, history and science).

Blessings,
Deb

"Be Thou praised, my Lord, with all Thy creation. Above all, the sun, who gives the day, and lightens us therewith. And he is beautiful and radiant, with great splendor; of Thee, O Lord Most High, he bears similtude. Be Thou praised, my Lord, of the moon and stars. In the heaven Thou hast formed them, clear and precious, and comely. Be Thou praised, my Lord, of the earth, which sustains us, and has us in rule; and produces divers fruits with colored flowers and herbs."

Re: Favorite part of homeschooling?
I keep coming back to this topic, but haven't posted because I didn't know what my favorite part was. I still don't have a favorite memory to share off hand. But I decided that my favorite part of homeschooling was definitely the atmosphere to pursue a relationship with the Lord without the degrading influences and distractions of public school. I am so very thankful for that.

Favorite part of homeschooling
:flower* What was your favorite part of school?
Hmm... My favorite part would be the freedom to learn of the Lord and grow in my relationship with Him, through my homeschool classes. I can be completely confident to say I would not be who I am today if I wan't homeschooled. Reminisce wouldn't exhist if it wasn't for the Lord leading my family down the "homeschooling road." :) I am SO THANKFUL that He leads and guides us. It was always awesome to see His hands in my lessons. If I'd read about something in a book it seemed He always brought something to us that confirmed it over and over again... from museum displays to articles in magazines. :) He is SO good! ;)

:sunshine Another thing I really enjoyed, during my senior year, was being able to get up really early in the morning and do my classes in bed! LOL :lol It was nice to be done and have the rest of the day to do other things. It did help me get done with my last year of homeschool sooner too. ;) It's nice to have the opportunity to study anytime and anyplace. ;) :lol

:flower* Your most favorite memory?
Hmm... I don't know that I could pick a favorite memory. ;) It was so awesome to see the Lord's hand in one of my junior high classes. I had started a unit study on Egypt. The story about the Exodus has always been one of my favorites! Well, during my studies a traveling exhibition of Egyptian artifacts came to St. Louis. My family and I went, and it was a real life changing experience! It was so neat to see huge statues and hundreds of items from the time of the Exodus (as well as before and after)! I couldn't believe I was actually seeing things Moses might have seen! These artifacts were not thousands of miles away, in an Egyptian museum, they were a few feet in front of me!! That unit study really came to life and it has helped change the way I read my Bible. I can now picture the people and the places where they lived. To sum it all up...it was such a blessing! ;)

:flower* What would you change if you could?

We never had a very active homeschool support group in our county. If I could have changed anything it would probably have been to be a part of a support group in the surrounding area. However, I know the Lord has a purpose in everything! :) I'm thankful for the outings we did have with other homeschoolers!

Thank you Mrs. Sheryl for posting those great questions! :sunshine It's nice to "reminisce" awhile about my homeschooling days and hear what others enjoy!

Have a cheery day in Jesus! :sunshine
