Firefly - what did you think of it?
I have seen a few episodes (well there are only a few) and though I hated the first one, it has started to grow on me. It's a shame Joss Weedon couldn't find a home for it.
It is a strange show - it has every single stock character from the classic Westerns including the defrocked priest! It's like a fanfic uber version of Stagecoach.

I got about twenty minutes into the first one and turned it off. I did intend to finish it another time, but never got around to it... bit lacking in instant appeal. But if it's any good I might dust off the couple of eps I have and give it a whirl.

The characters and the situation started to really develop as the series progressed. There are only eleven episodes so I suppose one shouldn't get too attached.

One of the problems with how it was broadcast in the U.S. was that "Serenity," the original pilot wasn't the first episode shown. I actually liked that one a great deal when they finally got around to airing it when JW knew the show had been cancelled.
It seemed very contrived to me at first, but really did grow on me.
There are actually 3 episodes available that weren't aired. On the one hand they make me wish that it hadn't been cancelled and, on the other, wonder where they thought they were going with it. Anyway, you can download them as torrents at:

I think there will probably be a DVD with the unaired episodes included. I also have heard talk about a Firefly movie (which doesn't make much sense to me, but I'd see it).
