Flathead
Got a 45 lb. flathead, out of a small lake. Used chicken liver for bait, had a 3/4 oz barrel sinker and a 2/0 hook. That bad boy hit at 10 after 3 in the morning. took me and my partner over a half hout to get it up to the shore. It was to big for nets or line to get it out of the water, Partner had to go into the water to help roll it up on the bank. We measured it all weighted it on a hand scale, then put it back in water. What a night!

I was using Stren Hi Vis Gold 12 lb test. Thats about as heavy of a line I use. Once in awhile I'll use 14 lb test for bass if I'm fishing heavy grass or lily pads. Like the gold line for night fishing, easy to see with lantern light. especically when you have to re-rig in the dark and after a 12 pack!
