For Sale: 1971 Series IIA, NADA Limestone 88" hardtop
Originally from Vancouver, had been in Arizona since early 80's untill I had it shipped out to CO a year ago. Had about $10,000 in reciepts when I picked it up, but it did not run (bad fuel pump). I got it running and then felt it had low power, so had the motor taken apart to see what was what. Well, cracked head and block forced purchase of a long block with all accessories, bolt in and run, Rovers North Engine. All told, I spent an additional $10,000 to get it where it is now. Unknown miles, odometer does not work.

Also new or worth mentioning:
RM parabolic Springs, with Procomp shocks, checkstraps
Spare tank, although original is rusty and could need replacing
33" AT plus tires on 15" rims.
new clutch master, slave, plate
new brake cylinders all around, with new shoes
Rovers North Transmission (IIA version
Fairy Overdrive
New front seats, except middle bottom, and NOS rear bench
High lift jack w/ mount on back wheel well
Still has original headliner
Full size spare on the hood
Weber carb
NO structural rust, only a small amount of floor board and door frame bits with some rust
Could use a fresh coat of paint
Windshield has minor crack and a couple rock divots

For the right price, I may also be able to throw in a barely used Warn 12,000 lb winch with roller fairlead and cable

All in all, a great example of the late IIA, with sound mechanics
Bottom line, I thought I could settle for a series vehicle, when what I really want is a Defender.

I am also willing to trade.
My wife has always wanted a disco, therefore I am willing to trade for a low mileage example. 1995 models are ok, but would have to be very fine example, maybe with some off road modifications. I am willing to consider other trade offers, i.e. discos, high mileage defenders?, wishfull thinking!, late 90's range rover or disco, others?

I would prefer to sell so as to pay down some credti card debt, but a decent trade offer may be accepted.

now has rebuilt solex carb
not advertising much, but still for sale.

freshly rebuilt solex replaces weber carb, installed by Sirfoss in Loveland, I highly recommend this shop, very nice, takes plenty of time to explain and discuss everything.

Make a reasonable offer, Trades?
