Forbidden Kiss

The castle was obviously too silent, Night usually was roaming around during this time of night... The wolves stood scratching at her door as they sniffed whining and whimpering...

They knew something was up, they just didn't understand what...

Balcony door in her tower was open, the velvet and lace draping flying in the night wind as the fire crackled from the gush of air that pored threw every now and again...

The canopy bed was empty of any body, Night laid out on the floor as if she had tripped or, fallen... Her pail body cold, the blood on her fingertips thick as the blood down her neck and throat ran down her barren shoulder...

How long had she been out......

NightAngel of Darkness An Angel's Kiss Posts: 684 (2/20/02 8:38 pm)	Forbidden Kiss He leaned over me slowly as I slept upon the pull out bed. He was my best friend of course, but he couldn't help but want me in his life longer then the life that was starting to fade... I had told him that I must leave soon; he thought that was death, but failed to realized it wasn't... I was only moving to a new home not far from his own... He hadn't received that much information of course, once again, I drank to much and was out cold in a sleep before long... Slowly he steadied himself inhaling my scent... I had always smelt different from other humans but I hadn't smelt like him. Inhaling once more his cool, yet warm breath crossed over the flesh of my neck, his lips tasting my sweetnes before he heard me start to awaken... Urgency and fear rushed over him, he didn't want to.... he couldn't lose me now... Swiftly he leaned and bit, the sharp pain was only a moment long before realizing his reality... A reality that sent his mind racing with drunkenness.... ~I sat up screaming before looking around, swiftly... I was home in my bed alone looking around like reality was about to cave in. There was something odd about this reality however, as silence began taking its place around my bedroom once again. I laid back down, closing my eyes before feeling a slow, soft trickle tickle down my neck... a trickle that drew my attention just as swift as I had awoken. Drawing a finger over my flesh I still failed to understand... Too dark to make out what it was I slid my tongue across my finger tips tasting blood. My nose had not deceived me. With a swift movement I sat up and reached for the light before witnessing the lies of my eyes as the crimson liquid covered my finger tips... Letting out a moan Night rolled to her side feeling the fires warmth cross over her barren legs as her nightgown had worked its way up to her thighs... The gush of wind from outside sending chills across her flesh as she pushed to her feet and staggered to the balcony doors, stepping out onto the balcony she inhaled laying her hands to the stone railing before letting out a cry... Her body felt like it was burning inside before becoming colder then she could handle and running hot again... She trembled turning to walk back inside... Her flesh pail, cold, and damp from a cold sweat... Night latched the glass doors closed the drapes falling back into place as she changed into her dress to roam down into the kitchen her fingers trembling as she pulled the layer of velvet on and laced her corset up... leaving her feet barren and hair free to hang to her thighs... her wings drug across the ground as she strayed from her bedroom, closed the door silently as she roamed down the steps... Silent, mindless.... Empty...

Another resident of the castle. Her head hung low, studying her notes and writing bits and pieces of intelligent finds on the notebook to her right. A solitary candle was lit, illuminating herself and her work well enough for someone to notice she was there. She lifts her head at the sound of steps silently padding down the hall and turns in to meet the mistress of this land. She knew it was her, simply from the senses in the air and aroma that only the angel produced. Rae smiled slightly in greeting, knowing she has been a recluse and only kept to reading things here and there. She lifted from her seat, lighting yet a second candle with a blow from her lips, too restless to find a match or lighter. When she looked a second time, she noticed her mistress a bit disshelveled. Rae said not a word and turned to the fridge, producing a drink that was to the Angel's tastes and gave it to it. She still said not a word, but returned to her seat, glanching now, at the work that still remained to be completed. Rae ~Wolf~ One never knows if dreams will come true until they already have.

Taking of the drink and swollowing it swiftly as she tilted it back, the deep crimson liquid staining her soft lips as she took to rest to the counter top... Shivering as she hesitated... "The shadows are back Rae.... He haunts my dreams once more..." Was all she spoke as she lowered her head taking in the warmth in which was given to her...

She seemed to be contemplating something and then her mind was made up. She got up and went to Angel and brushed away a lock of hair from the woman's face and then lifted the lady's chin so that she may look at her eyes. Rae still did not say a word, taking in the stress that was there and making Angel's dreams her own. Finally, she released Angel with a nod and stepped back, looking around, but not at Angel. When she did look at Angel, she asked, "How long?" in a mere whisper, but she knew Angel heard. Rae ~Wolf~ One never knows if dreams will come true until they already have.

But the ravens said he was too far away...." She turned her head away... "I feel Josie is feeling them too..."

For a moment, a fierce blue swept through eyes as anger overwhelmed her but she quickly grabbed control of that and hid it. "Why had you not told me this sooner? Found me? You knew where I was and were the only being to know just how to get in touch with me." Rae turned and walked to the door of the kitchen that led outside and opened them. She motioned for Angel to join, feeling it too stifling for the two in the ktichen alone, and she needed to think. Along outside, fresh winds whipping around them, Rae let out a soft sigh. She lifted her head to the moon, but didn't ask a question. Rather, she seemed to talk to it, but the words were really for Angel. "I tried to dreamwalk, hun, but your mind...it's blocked me off." She turned to Angel, gazing at her softly, not wanting to pain her with my eyes. "Whether it's you or not, I do not know, but I tried to visit within your dreams last night." Her lips were drawn taunt, no longer hinting towards a forced smile. "The dreams I saw in your eyes, the visions...." a frustrated sigh escaped her lips. "I do not know what exactly to make of them." Rae hated saying that...but it was true. She turned around at the approach of others and knelt to greet Grey and other wolves. "I know nothing of Gio and I fear I could never think anywhere near like you of him, but if there's a way to find him, then I'll get him for you if that is what you wish. As for Josie, I hardly had the chance to know her before her time at DDD vanished and castle had begun to get desolate." She shooed Grey off, getting the information that he came to give her. "No, do not get Gio, I know where I can find him if it comes down to that.... I know where Josie is... I will send for her as soon as the wind parts... I give you my word on that...." Shifting she leaned against the balcony looking down into the castle gardens... A sigh falling from her lips as her wings shifted restlessly against her back... The wind brought her alive... It was time to hunt... She held back as much as she could... Then.... she turned to Rae... "See to the friends while im out?!" Her eyes pleading with the promise of bringing you something...

"Bring me nothing but your self brought back unharmed." Rae kissed her beloved friend's forehead and moved her off, allowing Fancy to keep her company. Night had failed to answer any calls nor call out for any answer's.... The castle had become eratic... The patrons forcing themselves to act normaly for the sake of there own sanity...

After moons of not hearing from their beloved Angel, the castle wolf pack departed leaving only two behind to watch the grounds. Grey depersed himself with Fancy my his side to the north, Black and his favorite companion to the east, two others to the west, but Rae took the south. And she did it alone. Following the scent of Angel that she knew too well, it wasn't long before she found her. Rae approached softly from behind, but didn't worry about frightening the lady because she knew her presence was known. She gave a mental call for the wolves to return home, she would stay. Gazing gentle eyes upon the lady's pale skin, Rae moved and leaned against a tree, propping a leg against it's trunk. "Do they still occur, Angel? Does he still come?" Rae ~Wolf~ One never knows if dreams will come true until they already have.

Her head was bowed her hair hiding her face, a wing was lying across her lap as she shivered... Blood pooled around her as she sat... Angel lifted here head up, cuts down her neck, face, chest... Deep bit marks deep into her neck as she shivered, tears of blood streaming down her cheeks... Her wing was half on... the flesh and feathers parted from there connection... "I want to go home Rae..."

Before she moved her, however, Rae gently touched the detached wing, setting it properly and closing her eyes. A silver blue stream of light streamed from her fingers around the wing and the torn flesh. She concentrated for a few moments on healing what was torn, the blue turning to her own power's colour, a deep crimson red. After only a few moments, the wing was healed and she withdrew her power for later usage. Softly wiping the tears from silken cheeks, Rae knelt and lifted her friend, carrying her home. ~~~~ It was a bit of a long walk, a silent one, but it took on a second for the return trip. Rae thanked Grey for his help in that and called for Black to follow. The two, with Angel lying in Rae's arms headed for the mistress' chamber. Rage was slowly filling her viens as was anger, but sorrow still gripped her heart. They reached the room and the doors swung open on their own. Rae laid Angel down on her bed gently and removed the bloody coat. The sheets immedietly began to soak the blood, but Rae worked quickly and diligently to heal the wounds. She paused only momentarily to carress Angel's cheek before moving her hand and putting it use healing. It would be a long night, but she wouldn't leave dear Angel again. Rae ~Wolf~

Reaching for Raes hand she took hold of it shaking her head.... Night tuged on Raes hand gently, drawing her upon the bed as she curled up against Rae... Forehead against forehead.... Like a cub to its mother... She whispered... ~"No magic.... remember.... no magic"~ Her tongue a tongue unknown to mortal ears... Wolven within its own ways... Night fell into darkness... Sleep rushing over her...

It was magic. .....it was her. Silently calling upon her spirit gaurdian, she continued to heal, as if sewing flesh back with flesh. She didn't use magic. She had stopped. But she wouldn't stop giving herself, to make sure most of the blood flow healed quicker, more naturally. She felt her Angel fall asleep and fell asleep with her, but not before calling for Grey and Black to keep that blasted door shut. She remained by Angel, looking the lady over and taking note of the many scars that adorned her exquisite flesh. One wound still existed and Rae leaned down, kissing the wound away. She lay back down, locking eyes with Grey in a silent..."talk". As his eyes moved away, Rae closed her own. Rae ~Wolf~ One never knows if dreams will come true until they already have.

Her body twitched as she curled up against the shifting Rae... ~"if you must leave...."~ Night stoped closeing her eyes as she relaxed a little more... ~"If You need to care for the wolves...."~ Night moaned softly as she fought rest... ~"do so..."~
