Got one for you shaker...
Kev,
Maybe you can answer this question. Years ago I had an RB motor with a strange set of numbers/letters stamped on the pad like this:
H P
4 2
That's it. There was no evidence that the pad had been grounded smooth and re-stamped. I've had pretty much everyone stumped with this one...any ideas?

Re: Got one for you shaker...
my thoughts are ... its an HP motor and the 4 2 is the date the engine was assembled . ??? or is this over and above those things ??
Re: Got one for you shaker...
John,
That I don't know. Many people speculated it was a 426 Wedge block strictly because of the 4 2.
I wish I still had it, but strange things happen to car parts when you're on an extended deployment and your soon to be ex-wife is lurking in the shadows of your garage...
Its always been a stumper, guess I'll never know.
