As you may or may not have noticed (though you might as soon as you get one of the mass emails tonight), Great Indoors celebrates it's first Anniversary on June 13, 2006.
I have been racking my brain trying to figure out exactly how to ring in our first year together and I'm still looking for ideas to completely flesh out the experience.
As a "Thank You" from me to you guys for the past year I have come up with something that excites me, and that would be...
*drumroll please*
The Great Indoors Anniversary Soundtrack 2005-2006.
My idea is this: Every member who is interested in receiving a soundtrack, please send me a PM or email or IM and give me the name of the song you want included on the CD. I figured it might be more fun to keep our choices a secret so when you get the CD it will be surprise after surprise.
Your choice for the CD can be any song at all. For example: a live track of John's that makes you think of this past year, a song you haven't been able to stop listening to since last summer, your favorite track of the past year by any artist...anything at all. I want this to be as diverse as our membership is.
You have until the end of the month to contact me and let me know what your pick will be.
After I have all the tracks compiled, I will be burning CDs and sending them out to all members who want one. We will work out the B&P details when you contact me with your song choice.
I really want this to be a success so do not be afraid to speak up and let me know if you have any ideas to make our first Anniversary celebration even better.

Thanks for the email.. I forgot that I was a registered user of this message board.. you don't have to send me anything, but I think its a great idea.. meeting the B in person and watching her and KJ smile together is thanks enough.. Plus, I might have to get on here more often to help the Aussieguitarist out.. he seems like a very cool dude.. (I find brotherhood with any guy that shaves his head for ANY reason).. He and I can share Seinfeld stories, because I am sure that he knows every single one that I do.. ohhhh.. and one more thing.. <--- this thing looks like its farting hearts.. but thats just me..

Hahaha. Yes, Great Indoors will inevitabely make the cut. I get to pick the version, though
If I have a lot to choose from, the mix will be better I think. So if you want, give me like four or five songs with your ranking on how much you want them to be on the cd and I will fit everything together as best I can. How's that?
P.S. We're gonna need some album art for visual OCD freaks like me and KJ...Any takers?????

I think selecting more than one song is a great idea, just in case we choose the same songs.
And YES! We definitely need cover art. I can't put it on my iPod without cover art.
I have every picture known to man and I am willing to provide whatever I can, however my photoshopping skills are way bad....so hopefully someone else can work the magic.

I'm sorry! I should have mentioned that you can mention any amount of songs you like. The cut-off is not one song a piece. I was actually thinking that if the mix turns into something amazing I might have to make TWO discs.

I think it's an awesome idea.
I am currently trying to think of songs to suggest.
I don't know what my over-all favorite song of this past year has been.
I do know what my current favorite(s) are.
I think I need to consult past Billboard charts before I make any suggestions.
