Great Links on Inanna/Ishtar
Inanna, Pagan Queen - www.inannapaganqueen.com is a PhD thesis in progress which is being developped by Dr. Bernard Buttler, a Junguian psychologist who covers with authority and depth Inanna-Ishtar as the Divine Non-Maternal Feminine with the Gift of Grace within the framework of Junguian psychology.
Explore the thesis on-line, for you will see a unique approach to Inanna/Ishtar which existed in potentia for the Sumerians, but not fully realised, thus the language of passion and exaltation to the Goddess co-existed with fear and criticism for the non-domestic role of the Beloved and Assertive Lover united as one.

Re: Great Links on Inanna/Ishtar
I have just been invited to join the IshtarCircle in Yahoo! Donīt know as yet whether I will join them, although I certainly support the initiative and will lend a hand whenever possible.
The reasons for me not to join are the ones you all know very well. I am too busy with real life and with retrieving the ancient texts. Thus, have to be very selective with my time.
I know it is hard stuff, and I adore to help. The point is that I am very human and not very patient to cover the basics again and again. It is the dynamic non-maternal in me: explore on your own, especially the great material of Assyriology which can be found in any good bookshop these days. I do question myself sometimes whether I am not being a bit ... elitist But Gateways has done some groundwork, so in the end... I donīt feel that guilty...
It is heartwarming to see that Everlasting Mesopotamia touches the hearts of many.
hmmm... you know already that there was a time I was the only Meso in the soul in this huge MiddleWorld.
Will put a candle for the new circles that are being cast and may their moderators have the gift of welcome and the generosity to share in all levels and spheres!
Best,
Lishtar
