Great site!!
The new site looks fantastic Caro! Looks like you've put a lot of hard work into it.

Congrats.

Re: Great site!!
Thanks Steff. It has taken me a lot of time but mostly it's been spent developing a system to auto-generate the site so I can manage much more frequent updates. (And by frequent I mean daily although I think that would be excessive.) I have to say it's the kick :smokin . I prep the stories to be added and then press the button and off it goes generating author pages, indexes, what's new and story pages.

(I'm gonna need a lot of stories ............. :lol )

Next on my to do list is sorting out all the special pages so that they are special. The site needs new graphics which I suppose I'm going to have to do myself.

How's The Varos Triad going - I know I owe you feed for part 10 (That's my pleasant duty for this evening! Read and feed.) Do you have it archived anywhere? I only ask because it seems to me that WCB is pretty much dead in the water and I don't wanna miss out on future updates.

fic
Hey Caro,

Daily updates??? That really would be the kick!!!

As for TVT - it's on the CordySlash site and Miss Kitty's site - www.geocities.com/kitty_l...dindex.htm in the mini archive. K is excellent and updates my stuff as soon as it's out - so I recommend her site.

Know what you mean about WCB - but I shall continue to post TCT there until its completion. Its unlikely that I'll post anything else there though. If you ever want me to give f/b on a fic though - just send it to me, I'll happily oblige. And don't forget to send stuff over for beta'ing if you want too.

graphics
I'm sure if you ask group, you might be able to use the graphics stored at the VJB website in the "files" section. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to make graphics or html stuff. Maybe I can search for various pictures and screencaptures from other sites for you, if that'll help at all.

Re: graphics
Hi Bones

Thanks for the offer and I would certainly love any pictures or screen captures you find :)

I have asked at VJB and was met with a fairly deafening silence so I guess folk are not keen.

But I tell you what would really help - another story from you. That would be great - how is 'Mirry' going? (Hey! You can't blame me for trying.)

Couldn't help reading this...

If you still need any pictures, I taught myself a lot of things during my absence, like the use of Paintshop Pro, Photoshop, Javascript, Dreamweaver, and some other things (currently busy with Flash inbetween my study/exams)

Although I can't make things look as good as Fortin could, yet. Btw where the heck is that gurl, haven't seen her for the longest time either.

I always need pictures ..... I really need some T/7 manips. I'd like to create a graphics/picture gallery to show everything off as well as distributing them randomly about the site.

As to other things I have to redesign the turbo lift section and I 'm gonna completely redo the challenges page to make it more interactive. (I've also started down the flash route although doing complicated things without flash has a certain machisma ;) )

Ideas for what might make a challenges page more interesting will be gratefully considered. How about challenge of the week?

Also gratefully considered would be ideas for any other 'specials'

How about having a challenge suggestion box??

Or how about a photo-story section? It might be a way to entice the graphics minded people into trying something...what do you say blue?

Ah and the turbolift section....it just needs more stories :)

A challenge suggestion box - good idea. Damn now I'll have to give you credit for it ;) I like the photo-story idea but cries of 'watch my bandwidth' may be heard. I can suggest it and see what kind of response it brings ......

The turbolift section would have more stories - there have been quite a few written. But I would like to redesign it a bit. My web and graphic skills have got a little better since I designed the first version.

Thanks for the compliment *beams brightly*

Caro.
