Gryffindor's gotta be the smallest house...
JKR said that there's about 1000 students at Hogwarts. that's, lets see.....1000/7/4=an average of about 35 students per year per house. But there are only 8 Gryffindors in Harry's year: Harry, Ron, Seamus, Dean, Neville, Hermione, Pavarti, and Lavender! Maybe Godric Gryffindor was just picky, or maybe Rowling messed up, but it's still pretty strange.... Their course schedule are also pretty messed up, but that's a different story. hehe these are kewl
How do we know they're the only Gryffindors in that year? They're the only ones who have been mentioned, but that doesn't mean there aren't any others.

That is very true, we really don't know, but why wouldn't they say any other words about another room for his year? Then again why is , if those are the only ones in Harry's year, that Gryffindor is so small. Something to think about I guess.

|I If you looked closely in the book then you would have seen that in the third book there are two more girls in the house for there were ten in the class with Remus, and they probly had more than 10 in DADA, they could just have sepreate dormotories so it isn't to crowdaded in one.
