Hello, I am a newbie with lots to share!
Hi all, what a fun site !
I am not usually in the habit of joining groups, but I figured I should come out of the woodwork and share some things.
My views are not orthodox textbook ANE studies. I am an expert in Sumerian more so than Akkadian or Babylonian. If clairvoyancy and reincarnation are part of your belief system then I will have plenty to discuss.
My life in Kiengir was in the fourth millenium b.c. as writing began and the bipedal amphibian/serpent like beings who later were called gods were still around. Inanna was one of them. Under the skies with a red star our folk would gather by firelight viewing engravings of the writings that looked angelic, like dare I say it, the sigils in the Necronomicon. Ok, I'll put this out there. Most of the material within is fodder, but the sigils and Sumerian names of calling are real. Some of them used a special temple dialect, known to scholars today as Eme-Sal. The sigils are not Sumerian, but a substrate. Some of the best materials that survived from these times include WB-62 (long form leader list, which was a tribal list) and the "Verily the reptiles descend..." fragment, the flood story, and a couple of others. From the Babylonian records the most usefull are the sign numeration texts. These are a key, almost a Rosetta stone of word and alchemy. Any text with eme-sal words is also important. I have compiled a dictionary or word list of sorts. As a sidelight I am working on the Minoan Linear A question. Anybody wishing to discuss these matters, I would love to develop these topics.
