Hello...........
My name is Judy. I'm 28 from Mississippi. My dh is Randy (31) and we have 2 beautiful girls- Kayla Bay (5) and Grace Ann (16 mths).
My dd-Grace Ann was born June 21, 2001 with an extra digit on her left hand. It was attached to the side of her pinky finger. There was no bone in the digit, but it did have a fingernail. It wasn't very big. Anyway the doctor tied a string around it to cut off the blood supply and after a couple of weeks it fell off.
My dh and his family are web footed. The first two toes on both of my dh's feet are attached (no space in between them). So we always looked for this in our children. Never an extra digit. LOL. The doctor said that being web-footed and having an extra digit was some kind of relation.
I would love to hear from other parents re: this topic.
We also have another daughter who is 5. She is not web-footed and no extra toes or fingers either.

Hi, I'm Teresa. I'm a cl at Parentsplace for the November 00 playgroup and talked with Monica while she was trying to find more people relating to this topic. My dh had the same thing as Judy's dd. He had an extra digit (he always just called it an extra finger), on the side of his pinky, it was removed the same way also. My 23 month old has 2 middle toes webbed together. I don't know of anyone else on either side of the family with extra fingers, toes or webbing.

Hi, I just noticed my signature line, and wasn't able to edit my post. Can a moderator please take off my signature? I changed it in my profile, but that doesn't help this. I don't think that signature is appropriate on all boards. I post on another board, and it is very fitting for that gang. LOL. Thanks!
