Has anyone read His Chosen Bride, by Jennifer Lamp? Mom gave it to me last week (what a wonderful surprise!) and I've just started reading it. It has been so good so far! This book is about being God's Chosen Bride. Some of what I have read so far has been rather convicting. Here's a link to some info on it: www.hisgraceworks.com/bride.htm LIC, Krista
"Shout to the Lord, All the earth let us sing Power and Majesty, praise to the King! Mountains bow down and the seas will roar at the sound of your name. I sing for joy at the work of your hands, forever I'll love you, forever I'll stand. Nothing compares to the promise I have in You." ~from "Shout to the Lord," by Darlene Zschech |

I read “His Chosen Bride” last summer, and it is one of my favorite books! You’re right, Krista, that it is convicting, but it really made me stop and think about a lot of issues I hadn’t considered before. It is certainly a book that you can learn and grow from, and I highly recommend it to those of you who haven’t read it!

Krista, I have read this book! I bought it when it first was published a few years ago. I was also a means for getting the author Miss Lamp to come to Virginia and speak at a ladies tea. Thus I was able to meet her. She is a sweet woman as well as her sister. I don't know if her web site told you that she is now married--she married a man who has three children whose wife died. It is a very sweet story and she is so happy. My friend actually attended the wedding. The book is wonderful and I thoroughly enjoyed it and have been considering reading it again--it's been on my night stand. Now I think I will. I highly recommend this book and although she is married I hope she will still write the sequel she had planned on writing. ~Stephanie |

Stephanie, Thanks for updating us! I didn't know Miss Lamp is now a Mrs! As of yet, I have not read "His Chosen Bride". I'm really looking forward to though!!!!! To those of you who have read this book: What spoke to your heart the most? Was there something you learned through this book to help you in your walk with Christ, and patience for the future? I look forward to reading your replies! Blessings in Jesus! Emilee Elizabeth
