Hello, Skadi and the official words of welcome are "Welcome welcome and happy be in our blessed society!" :)

I am Lishtar and the Engergizer of the Gateways2Babylon board. Hope you like Mesopotamia, because we mostly discuss Mesopotamian lore, metaphysics and myth here.

Make yourself comfortable, explore the threads and ... enjoy yourself! May I ask you why you you find Gateways2Bab promising? ;)

Love, light and laughter,
Lishtar

Re: Hmm.. Hello.. Anybody home?
Hi again and thanks for the nice welcome :)
To answer why I find this place promising, I think I first have to introduce myself better!
I'm 25 year old and a pagan. Of course I was not born pagan, but three years ago I started going through a different religious path. Since most pagans today base their religions on either Roman or Celtic origins, I also started this way. But that wasn't right, because that wasn't "home". I found myself more and more drawn to the old relgions and culture of the middle east, and this of course includes Canaan, Phoenicia and Mesopotamia. I'm interested in everything: history, archeology, language and of course religion!

Really great to see that you love Mesopotamia in special! *clapping hands with joy :D

Lots and lots of food for your thoughts here then you will find... so explore us and hope you enjoy the ride!

I have to catch up with the thread on Mesopotamian Religion based on the book of Jean Bottéro, by the way. *red faced

By my experience, Mesos in the Soul are generous, giving and ... the scholarly-fun type of people. May you make many friends here!

Love light and laughter,
Lishtar
